Save me from myself!

did you do the 100 too?? you can place a second order for 100 for $1.00 plus S/H

Ugh I wish I would have realized that! I ordered 100 form snapfish for a dollar + shipping and 200 from shutterfly for "free" plus s&h (they sent me a code because they sent me something by mistake that majorly confused me....i didn't tell thwem i was confused, but if they can watch your account, they'd know it because I clicked all over!)

so basically the s+h probably killed me. that's what i get for ordering at 7am! :surfweb:

So I'm prepping for my next Disney album, this is the big 14 day trip in Dec 2005. We took over 3000 photos, it would have been more but our camera broke on day 3 and spent most of that day cabbing it to Ritz Camera. I've edited, double up smaller pics onto a single 4x6, and even combine multiple themes on 2 page spreads (something I never do) and I still have 915 photos and 132 pages!!!!!!!!

I must be insane!

Yup! Certifiable. But, we love you anyway, Buffy.:lovestruc

My CMC is going to yell at me again for over stuffing my albums.

:lmao:

Knowing how well you take pictures, I can see why it is hard to whiddle down your pictures, but you have too. Pick the best of the best. You don't need every single picture scrapped.

Speaking as a CMC (and longtime customer ;)) I know that it is okay to put 50 pages (100 sides) in each album. The album might be heavy, but, there is plenty of room to tighten the strap and the spine cover stays on :thumbsup2 Really you're only at 3 albums :upsidedow I always end up with at least 100 pages for my Disney albums and the longest we're gone is 8 days! So I'm no help. Scrap away and have fun :goodvibes

Do not encourage her, she STUFFS her albums. I think she puts four packages of pages in each album. The album cover stands at a 45 degree angle. :rotfl2:

I'm just amazed at the idea of doing 132 page album(s) for one trip! How long do you think it will take you? I am going to do our two week trip from 2008 in 2 albums, one Disney Cruise Line book and one 3 ring WRMK book so I will be using some of the 6-up page protectors to save a little time. if it ends up being 132 pages I am afraid I will get bored and abandon it!

Have fun!

It really depends on how hard I work on it. The first Disney album (2 books) took me 2 years but I took long breaks.

The WDW October 2005 trip (2 books) took me 5 months maybe, but I had the pages kitted and I was alternating between that and regular pages.

That's not supposed to happen???? LOL
I need to send you photos of some of mine.. I just stuffed 5 days of park activities in 1 book.... that was when I first started scrapping so the pages show it! :guilty:

It doesn't really stand at 45 degrees, close but not quite. I'll snap a pic of my tower of books soon.

The only issue I have it on my Oct 2005 trip is the covers wiggle, a lot. I don't like that so at some point I may need to either have DH help me tighten them or I need to break it down into 3 books, which I really don't want to do.

Which Nikon did you get? We have the D40, D70, D70s, and the D90. The D70 is the one that broke while on this trip. I just had a point and shoot (thankfully!!) We replaced the 70 with the D70s while we were in FL but shipped the 70 out for repair when we got home (keep that warranty handy!!)

I love the D40 because it's small and easy for me to carry. I also keep a fixed lens on it and use that 90% of the time. I'll switch to the 70 with the longer adjustable lens when I do sports.

The problem I've found is that as we get more accustom to the camera we are taking better quality pics but we still shoot the same amount as before, so it's really hard to choose "the best" because they are all equally good!!

I have the D3000, and we love it! I am still learning all the tips and tricks, but you are right, every photo is great and it is hard to pick the best. :rotfl:

The only thing I haven't mastered yet is the Lion King Show, but we bought a new 1.8 lens that's fixed, can't zoom in. But it does great in low light, so Im hoping to use that the next time we go.

I feel your pain. I'm still trying to finish my Galapagos albums (it's at 4) and I still have the last two and half days in the islands to do with about 600 photos and about 200 photos which I took while we were on the mainland of Ecuador and some of the around the ship & airport shots. My DH & I took over 8,000 which we deleted about 2,000 because of either duplicates or just not good - my DH had his DSLR and he was having problems with focusing one of the lenses :lmao:

What I did with my 2008 Disney album (I took about 3,000 on that trip since both of my DDs performed at Magic Kingdom) is I got a lot of photos done in wallet size and put lots of photos in a 2-page LO. I also did the page expanders that I got at Creek Bank Creations or even made my own "book" within the LOs. Oh, NOPE I'm still not completely finished with that album yet......I'm so far behind on all my albums :(
