Hello all!

We haven't been to IOA/US in quite a few years and want to enjoy both parks on Satuday, Aug 23rd. I'm second guessing myself regarding the Saturday. I don't want to have to spend $164 for the Express Pass for the day. What do you IOA/US experts think? Saturday okay or change to a midweek day?

Thanks!!!!!!!!

go midweek.

if kids are back in school in late august, then saturday will just be locals and not as many out of towners.

saturdays are always busy.

What about just getting room for one night at the Royal Pacific and reap the benefits of FOTL for as many times as you want to go on each ride. That way you'll see both parks in that day. The cost will probably be just a bit more and you could even get the FOTL for two days for the one night's stay.

Bear in mind it will be full of us Brits at that time lol - our summer school break runs from late july - early september :goodvibes

I did look into that but it would have to be 2 nights cuz we're going our second day of our trip. We're moving over to WL for Free Dining on the 24th. It would cost an extra $330.00 for 2 nights. So, I'm not sure it would be worth it. So, I'm thinking if we switch days from Saturday to Monday the 25th it may be less crowded?

Okay, so I changed my day from Saturday to Monday. The park closes at 7pm so I'm guessing the crowd levels are expected to be low. Also, the front of the line passes are less expensive should we decide we need them.

I can't justify the price increase from staying onsite at Universal vs. 30% off at Cornonado Springs for 2 nights before our free dining package. So, this should work out fine.

Thanks all!

come on back over here if you have any more universal questions.

there is always someone over here that could help you.

Hi...if you had to choose between Saturday Sept. 20 and Sunday Sept 21...which would you go for? Would there be any difference between the two? No mid-week possible here, unfortunately. Looking forward to visiting for the very first time (Studios, not IOA)!

if were me that had to choose, it would be the sunday.

i figure that locals would more apt come on the saturday and stay the whole time at the park.

on a sunday, would a working person that does the m-f 9 to 5 shift want to be tired the next day cause they spent the day before in a park?

i could be off on it but i would make sunday my day of choice as the lines might not be as bad then.

everyone has an opinion and a theory.
don't know if any one else shares mine.

i stay on site and do both days but then, i use the express lane.

i have found crowds on sunday better than saturday though when i go.

I second that - most locals come on saturday rather than sunday, so while the crowd level will still be higher than a weekday that time of year, the sunday should be the quieter of the two days. Aim to arrive for park opening time so you can hit up the big rides before the crowds really start piling in from 11 onwards.
