Saturday at Disney

Ok- guys long time reader, first time poster!

DH and I are leaving for Disney Saturday!!! We are excited, and I have used many suggestions that I have gotten from you all in making my plans. Anyway, our flight arrives in at 10, and then we have to take ME to the POFQ (again, made this choice based on your recommendations). My questions is which park do we go to on this day. We have 5 day passes and are only going to be there for 5 days (including Sat), so swimming at the hotel doesn't make much sense.

The reason I'm asking is because the UG recommends MK, EP, DS on this day, and I had planned to go to Epcot, but I then read several posts that said to avoid Epcot because of the food and wine festival. (Can you tell I'm a little wound about this trip???) I guess I need to just suck it up an accept that wherever we go will be crowded. Looks like 7's on Sat. and Sun.

Thoughts?????

I would definitely not go to Epcot on a Saturday of the Food and Wine Festival. We were just there and the first Saturday of FWF and the lines were very long (as compared to when we were there two days before). It does increase the crowds.

Perhaps AK would be a good choice to do or I am a big fan of "You haven't arrived at Disney until you have been to the Magic Kingdom" theory.

There is so much to absorb at MK it deserves the extra time, and yes there will be crowds, it is a Saturday, but you are in WDW so it can't be too bad.

Our family is going the following week, arriving around 9:30am on a Saturday. Here is what I have planned for the first day.
Check in, hit the pools grab a CS lunch, head to MK around 2:15 for the 3:00pm parade (Frontierland). Take the train!
Tour Adventure and Frontierland until our PS Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.

BTW- AK would probably be your best bet crowd wise on Sat.

Ok- so several people have recommended AK, but that is the one Park the UG said not to go to on that day??? Should I go anyway?

We always go to AK on Sat (we'll be thjere again this Sat) we love it and find the crowds just fine unless there is a special event (which there isn't this Sat) If you see us say hi! PM or email me and I can send you a family pic!

My thoughts are, do you have park hopper tickets? If not, I wouldn't do MK if there is a Halloween Party that night because you have to leave by 6. Of course if no Party, go for it. If there is a party you would have to park hop or be done by 6.

Why not do both?
AK from ~noon to 4.
Watch the Jammin Jungle Parade.
Eat.
MK from 7 to 11pm
Watch Disney Wishes at 10pm.
Wear comfortable shoes
Sleep late.

Sunday
Typhoon Lagoon (Blizzard Beach is closed)
MGM studios till 9pm
Fantasmic at 9pm

Monday
What did you miss in AK?
EPCOT Future world till 7p World Showcase till 9

Tuesday
What did you miss in MGM, MK?

Wednesday
