Anyone know of the best deal in getting Dish Network or DirectTV? I remember hearing about GCs from Sam's Club or or something. Any savings or incenties I should be aware of before we go with one or the other?

Lat time i signed up through Costco, I think I received a gift card of $200 or $250. Not sure what their current office is.

We just bundled direct tv through AT&T with our cell phones. AT&T bought into direct last year.

Are you aware you lose signal in a heavy rain. I think snow too because snow accumulates on the dish. I've heard if you put wax on the dish it helps the snow to fall off

In a year and a half, we've lost service maybe 3 or 4 times due to heavy rain (and in each case it was out only for a few minutes) and once due to heavy snow accumulating on the dish (again, it wasn't out for very long). Yes, it can and does happen, but it's not a big deal.

I had cable for 13 years and have had Dish Network for 16. I have one or two brief observed rain outages a year with Dish, I had one or two outages a month with cable.
