SATC Fans - I need help!

I'm throwing a SATC themed bachelorette party and I need help! Is there an episode where one of the characters forgets her money and is maybe left stranded?

After my home party we're going to take taxis to see the SATC 2 movie. While I am paying for the party, I want a creative way to remind the girls to bring cash to pay for the taxi and movie. I was hoping there was a SATC episode where one of the girls forgets her money and I could put something on the invitation like:

"Don't get stranded like Miranda, please remember to bring cash for the cab ride and movie!"

I don't mean to be preachy but that is a pretty tacky way of hosting a theme for a bachlorette party.

SATC has many more upbeat, fun themes you can explore. I would personally put a fun "party" spin on it instead of what you suggest. JMO

If your friends don't bring money for the party or they are moochers, I would tell them personally over the phone.

There was an episode where Carrie gets mugged- they took her bag, wallet, and -GASP!- her Manolos. Miranda came to help her out, and Carrie had to wear old Keds back home. She, of course, complained that Miranda should have brought her more stylish shoes.

Huh? The bride-to-be is a huge SATC fan. I'm having a lingerie themed shower with games, drinks, food, etc. first at my house and the movie and night of fun will be afterward. Decorations, favors, food and the like will have a SATC motif. Did you think the whole theme was revolving around forgetting the money?

I'm paying for everything that happens at my house, but I want to make sure they bring money to pay for the cab, movie, and going downtown that happens after the party I hosted. I've decided I'm going to send the reminder via email anyway.

Is everyone attending a big fan of the movies? I'm asking, because I know lots of people are not fans of SATC, so they may be fine with a themed party, but not so much the movie part. But they may feel like they have to go for the bride.
Just something to think about.

Hmmmm. Good point about the drinking and then movie. I'm not a drinker so I didn't even think about that. I know that all her friends are huge SATC fans that's how we came up wit the theme but I'll send out an email asking the girls if they'd be up for the movie after a few drinks.

Yes I thought the whole theme was revolving around forgetting money. Why put it in there, you know? That is the impression I got. Just something to think about.

SATC has so much better fun themes. I am just giving my opinion.

If you want to make sure they bring enough money, it is better to tell them personally point blank how much they are going to need.

I see. You're probably right. Still, I think it fair to forewarn her guests that part of the party will require them to have cash on hand. I don't particularly like the idea of throwing a party that guests have to pay for, but if you are going to do it, you need to let them know ahead of time.

If you really want to see the movie then why don't you do it before the party. Let everyone know that the movie is a X time and whoever wants to go can meet us a the theater and then everyone will go back to where the party is being held, anyone who doesn't want to go and see the movie can meet you after it at the party location.

I think what you're planning sounds fun.

When Carrie and Aidan broke up the second time, he wanted her to buy back her apartment. Carrie had no money because she had 100 pair of shoes, which roughfully equaled $40,000. My memory is a little fuzzy, so my numbers might be off, but the same principle applies.

You could say something like don't be like Carrie and spend all your money on $400 shoes. You'll need money for taxis and the movie.
