We have car hire without sat nav at the moment but think it will come in really handy as we want to visit a lot of places outside of the Orlando area. We can add sat nav to our package for £70 but I thought would it be better to just buy one from Walmart when we get there. It will come in useful for future trips. Just wondered if anyone thought the Walmart idea would be a bad one?

Do you have a UK sat nav? We bought the maps for the USA for our current sat nav and take those with us when we go, think the maps were about £30 a few years ago and have used them several times!

We have a Garmin and it looks really expensive to add the US maps x I know Tom Tom maps are cheaper x Does anyone know anywhere you can get the US maps cheaper? We were thinking of going to Walmart and buying a sat nav there too x

With the exchange rate at the time it cost £35, now it converts to £40, after I returned home I bought the UK maps on offer at about £20-25 so for £55-60 we have all the maps we need.
A few week back I bought 12 months (4x 3 months) of US map updates that were on offer for £15 ($25)

We do have a sat nav but it's a Binatone and can't find any USA cards for it. That Tom Tom with the lifetime update is really good. Think that will be the best option instead of hiring it with the car. Thanks
