Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Good Monday morning Somethings! We are finally done with the rain, we were lucky enough to get 8.5 inches. We really needed, just didn't need it all in 2 days. There are so many people with flooded homes, I'm thankful we aren't one of them.

Good morning peeps.

Today I'm going to put my SUV in the shop and have to rent a car for a couple of days. At the end of summer Mark was backing out of a parking space and bumped into one of those three foot poles that you can't see. Anyway my car got a dent in it and it's time to get that little bugger fixed. I'm going to drop it off as soon as Colin gets on the bus. I don't like driving someone else's car but these kids need to get to their activities and one car just isn't going to cut it.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Bonnie I love the purses. A girl can never have enough shoes or purses in my opinion. :snooty:

Judi how's Mom been feeling?

Wilma I hope you have a good day and those tough parents take it easy on you.

Heather I'm still thinking of you and your family. I hope the power is returned to your area sooner rather than later.

Angie how are you feeling? Have the shots helped?

Becca I can't believe you leave this week. What happened to your ticker? It's hard for me to keep track without it.

Shannon getting through the weekend will probably be the hardest just starting a new diet. It sounds like you did great. :thumbsup2 I'm pulling out all my Weight Watchers stuff again today. Since the hurricanes are over I don't have the excuse of stress eating any longer so it's back to counting points for me.

Hi Rella & Julie how was your weekend?

Totally Tink ..................Welcome!

Wilma, Good luck today. I hear those whirlybird blades all the way up here.

Becca, I will now put your ark on the back burner. Glad you didn't flood.

Tricia, tell Mr. Tricia, I just hate when those poles jump in back of me. Never give you a warning at all.

This is Heather's town http://www.ci.league-city.tx.us/
Our prayers are with you.

Breaking news just in.......

Heather still has no power, but it is a beautiful day in her neighborhood. She wishes us to say a prayer for her sister who is working at a hospital with no power or generator, she is about to her breaking point.

Now can I have Katie Couric's job?

Miss Becca, you've had that job forever.

I think it started with Mom reports. Just the facts maam.

Send Heather our love & prayers.

I'm only posting this because Heather can't read it but after Katrina we were out of power for three weeks. :scared1: That's in my new neighborhood that didn't even get lots of damage. I hope she gets it soon.

Well I'm sporting a mini van again. I just rented a Dodge Caravan. Seems very familiar to me because that's what I had before the Armada. I was actually going to rent some small compact car but they didn't have any. They gave me 50% off the van since they didn't have what I intended to rent in stock. :thumbsup2

Tricia, honestly quite glad you got a mini-van. Driving a car makes you seem so low to the ground if you aren't use to it. :)

I HAVE POWER!!!!!! woohoooo.

Thanks for all your prayers. I am sure they helped. We were really very lucky.........and we FEEL lucky, especially when you view the devastation all around us.

Thanks again for all the prayers and well wishes.

Happy late Birthday Bonnie,......sorry I missed the party.

Please say another prayer for my sister if you will...she is still stuck at work. thankfully they now have power, but she is jsut so tired. I don;t think they are letting her sleep enough....and even when she has time to sleep she said she isn;t sleeping well. She sounds broken when I talk to her. And it is so hard know I can;t help her.

The storm was super scary. I did ok until I lost power....then I was terrified we would flood or something and I would be able to see it.:scared:

I was just saying that this morning. I've been stepping up to get into a vehicle for about eight or nine years now. I like to look down into the cars next to me not look up. :lmao:

Heather that's great news. Fast work that power company of yours does. Prayers said for your sister.

Judi that picture doesn't look real. We don't get to see anything as lovely as that around here. We go from hot to cool then the leaves just fall off.

How are the kids and how did they do through the storm? Wind can be such a scary thing for little ones.

I hate when my soap "Days of our Lives" do little stories in black and white. It has nothing to do with the story lines so what's the point? OK, carry on.

Oh no, are they doing that crap again??!! I wonder why?

The first time Cole saw a black and white show, she thought the TV was broken.

I love I Dream of Jeannie in black and white. I can only find it on once a day now.

Becca....thank you so much for keeping the sassies updated for me. I really appreciate it.

Judi....thank you so much for sending down some cooler weather this morning......I feel sure you had something to do with;) It was a sanity saver:rotfl2:

The kids were mostly fine. Joey slept through most of it. Kate slept through large parts of it, but seemed fine when she was up watching it. If she was overly afraid she kept it hidden well.
