Happy Friday, freaks! :yay:

My mom goes home today, gotta leave for the Dulles airport at around 1:00. It has been a GREAT visit. I'm so glad I can tell my mom anything. You know what's weird is that in spite of my home problems right now, my mom told me she thinks I seem happier than she has seen me in a long time. Weird, huh? I just think it's that I love living here in VA and I love my job.

Wilma, who is Joey? I am trying to think of the Big Brother cast and I don't remember a Joey. Am I a kook?

Bex, how did your hair turn out? Got a pic? We wanna see! My appt is on the 20th. :thumbsup2

Angus, Did you finish the book yet? I am still only on page 5. Maybe now that my mom is leaving I will make more time to read. I dunno, after Heather told me how dissatisfied she was with the book, I'm not all that excited to read it. What do you think?

Judi, how are you, lady? You feeling okay? You still having fun whooping it up all over the DIS?

Heather, did you survive the storm? How was it? As bad as you feared? Not that bad? I hope you are okay!

Julie, are you into the Twilight books at all? I don't remember hearing you say whether you were. What are you up to today?

Tricia, how is the new school year going? Is today the first day?

HI to anyone I missed!

Happy Friday Sassies! Today is the day we go to the zoo. I'm having anxiety about the giraffe tongues, but somehow I will pull through. I no longer have any blonde, just a lot of different shades of red. I love, love, love it! You would not recognize me Bonnie and Angie, I'm a new woman! I'll take a pic and post it at the pie hole this weekend.

Good morning sassies!

Well the day has arrived that most kids dread all summer long. Back to school day! I love having my kids home in the summer so I'm just as sad as they are. :guilty: I just heard the first of many big yellow school buses pass by. The High School bus passes early. Kelsie is so happy that she isn't in that number any longer. Oh the joy of friends having a car.

Bonnie I'm glad you had such a great visit with your mom.

So now that I have to be up so early come on everyone join in the back to school party.

Still runnin amuk and still point free

Quite difficult to type a resume and not insert :dance3: or :lmao: . :teeth:
So the postage stamps are hearts. :)

Good morning Tricia! I dislike the sound of school buses in the fall too. Justin goes all day this year instead of half a day. That makes me really sad. Hope they all have a great first day back.

Judi, I'll type your resume. Bikini wearing, head bopping, lead singing chicken in the the Judi family band. Queen of running amuk without receiving points. And obviously you have a great memory since you can do an update perfectly!

Becca you described her perfectly. For all the Judi Family fans out there..........

Should I wear the bra and bra only on interviews? There is a place like that up in Cadillac, well, I think it's bottoms only there :rolleyes1

Rumor on the street has it, I'm back to work next month. Well, I'll be working someplace next month. With Clothes!:rotfl2:

Good morning, Sassy Wonders! Tricia, I would be sad too - I love having the kids home in the summer and not having a schedule. You all must go back to school the earliest in the nation - I have never heard of anyone going any earlier! When are you starting back to WW?

Bonnie - I think my brain was stuck when I wrote the name Joey - it's Jesse!:rotfl: He was such a numbskull. I had to laugh at the others dissing him for "eating, sleeping and working out" all day. Well, what are THEY doing? Solving the Middle East peace problem?

Judi - I think clothes would be a good idea for the interview. I think you really should tout the "no points" aspect of your amuk running - it's impressive!

Becca - let's see the 'do, lady! Do they have a hippo at the zoo you are visiting? They are my favorite. A few weeks ago the boys and I went to the zoo in Richmond where you can feed giraffes. Their tongues were amazing - they scooped up the food like a hand! Barney was freaked out - I thought of you!

Heather - how did you all come through the storm?

Angie, Kimmy, Julie and Sarah - Aloha! Have a great day!

Happy Friday hagathas!! What are you guys doing this weekend? I am going to finish Breaking Dawn (finally!!), and probably start Lonesome Dove. I just LOVED that mini-series but have never read the book. And the book is over 800 pages-doncha just LOVE a big thick book?? I can't start HP yet-I only own the last 2 books, and I just bought the first 5 on Ebay but haven't recv'd them yet. It's really gross to check those books out of the library-let's just say that kids are hard on library books.

I was really happy with who went home on BB last night, but I hated who won HOH. I do NOT like that person! Being cryptic in case someone hasn't watched it yet.

Why did Gertie have to start reading the Twilight books??? She's driving me crazy constantly telling me what part of the book she's reading now. What am I supposed to say? Wow-that's great. I'm so happy that you're on that part now??? She doesn't discuss it, just says where she's at. I think maybe her mom dropped her on her head too many times when she was a baby. ;)

You realize that the Twilight movie and the new HP movie both come out this fall/winter??!!!??!!! I think HP is November and Twilight is December. I can't wait!!

I'm really excited about the Olympics! I love the gymnastics, swimming, diving, and track and field! Does anyone else wonder why the beach volleyball players where such skimpy little bikinis? Wouldn't you think something more like a sports bra style top and spandex shorts would be more comfortable? I mean-they must be getting sand in places you wouldn't want sand, and they must constantly be adjusting to make sure their bikinis are covering what they should be, especially after they do one of their diving for the ball shots. I remember watching it last time and they were constantly picking their bikini bottoms out of their bums! Nothing like a constant wedgie!

Good Morning.

We weathered the storm just fine. Our house was on the very very edge of the storm so the winds were not all that high and we only got about 3 inches of rain. We ahve quite a few little tree branches in that yard that will ahve to be picked up before we mow this weekend. I am looking at it as more of a dry run for the real thing. I have never boarded my windows before, and now I know how exactly to do it. I need to get a saw to trim up our boards, hopefully this weekend.

I think I need to be a spokesperson for plylox clips. They make boarding up your house sooooo easy. You slip the clip on the plywood and then press the board to the window. It is soooo easy.

There is always some worry when a storm is heading your way no matter how many times you ahve been through it before. I actually worry more now.....I guess because I have the kids' safety to consider. We are also still playing catchup on bills, so damage to the house is that last thing I need right now....not that you ever need damage, but now is a particularly bad time for it.

I need to go to Sams and the grocery store. I have a very detailed list that I HAVE to stick to this time. My budget has to be strictly followed this month so that next month everything will be back to normal:rolleyes1

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Bonnie..... I am sure you need a hug since your mom is leaving today. I always cried the rest of the day when my mom's visits ended.

Hello, ladies! Angie- I have always thought the same thing about the volleyball players. Probably the only time when it is socially acceptable to pick out wedgie;) . I think Gertie has competition issues. She wants to be ahead of you in the book, etc. To people like that I say "Good for you!" whenever they have a "I'm doing this" statement :rotfl: You'd be surprised how embarrassing that can be to grown adults.

Heather - glad the storm has passed. Does Jasmine do okay in storms?

Tricia - how was the kid's first day? Did you miss them terribly? Any homework yet?

Becca - have you escaped the zoo without a giraffe lick?

Judi - done with that resume yet? Are the chickens being a help or a hindrance?

I have to get started on packing - I really don't want to be up all night packing for the beach, even though that is my usual pattern. When we dropped my sister's dog off this morning, my BIL asked me if we wanted their Wii. Well yeah, sure! He said the kids mainly play XBox and rarely use it, so they wanted to give it to us.  I am quite excited, I must say! I may even trot out my Elaine dance for this one!

Have a nice time Mrs. Fop. The chickens were quite the, well chickens. Becca & Bonnie can tune ya in.

Julie, are you into the Twilight books at all? I don't remember hearing you say whether you were. What are you up to today?

Hey Toot! No, I haven't read any Twilight books. Actually I haven't been able to read much lately. I am trying to finish a book with the letters of Abigail and John Adams. I got into that after watching the John Adams miniseries on HBO. I wouldn't have thought so before, but it is a really interesting peek into history from a husband and wife perspective. She was quite a woman...he had the ability to be quite the jerk with his priorities...

I worked today. Nothing too exciting. Thursday we are finally getting to Hersheypark!!

Hope everyone is ready for the WEEKEND!!

Good morning, Sassies! I'm off to the beach, so this is just a drive by. Have a good week, everyone!

Good Morning!

The Olympic Opening Ceremonies were really beautiful this year....at least the part that I have seen were. I have it recorded so I can finish it this morning.

Jasmine did okay during the storm until it was time to go out. Even in a lull in the rain, she put one foot outside then backed up and looked at me like I was out of my mind. I had to force her to go out. We made it through the day without any accidents , though.

I htink I will work on the garage again today. I am trying to get it organized. If I get out there early enough, it isn't too hot. I have a huge garage that I can't get my car into. I managed to make a space for Mom's car, but would like to have room for mine too.....although now that I think about it, Scott will be keeping the car with him at the hospital during hurricanes so I don't have to worry about getting my car in the garage during any storms. I would like to get a garage door opener and park in the garage on a regular basis. I was shocked the other day by how much cooler the car was when we got in.

Sorry....I'm just rambling.:rolleyes1

I will chat with ya'll later!

Morning Sassy-Pantses!

Just thought I'd drop in & say good morning.

Wilma-- have a great time at the beach! We leave for our beach trip in 2 weeks, and I can hardly wait!

Have a spectacular weekend everyone!
