Sassy Somethings - Happy November

I just woke up from a long snooze. I have been taking naps nearly every day the past couple of weeks. Dont' know why I'm so tired, but it sure is enjoyable to take naps!

What's everyone else up to?

Let me just say...you suck!! I am SO sleepy today! But I think the boss may frown upon me napping at work, so I'm trying to keep the old eyes open. This is when I wish I could have some caffeine!

Becca~we have had horrible storms all weekend, and it's starting to look pretty nasty right now. We didn't get the worst of it at our house, luckily, so I wasn't washed down to Mexico. Every year we have some stupid people who try to drive through a flooded wash or street and get stuck and have to be rescued. It got so bad that AZ actually passed a "Dumb Drivers Law" that says if you get stuck and have to be rescued you have to pay for the cost of your rescue. But it doesn't seem to be discouraging anyone.

Judi~your new thread titles are fun! I didn't get it at first, and when I saw a thread with Sassy in the title I clicked on it to see who was using our name!! DUH!

I broke down and finally had a date with a box of Loreal Preference over the weekend. My roots were getting ridiculous, and I just can't afford the salon right now. But it looks fine, so I'm not upset. But I still need a haircut. But since I really don't have much of a style it's hard to tell!! :teeth:

I hate humidity!

I've never been one to nap during the day. I guess it's because I need a really dark room and the sunlight keeps peeking in. Maybe that's something I need to work on.

Ok, what do you guys think this means?

A parent (a dad) sent me an email thanking me for being a great teacher and stuff.
At the end he put:

w/r ;-]

What is w/r? :confused3

Bonnie - the winky smiley creeps me out. Does this guy know where you live?;)

Judi - I keep checking in here every couple of hours to see what the thread name is, and what the first picture is. Thanks for the free entertainment, hag!

Becca - Poor little Justin! But if he can get a Mickey bar out of the deal, he's probably coming out okay. My kids would do just about anything for one of those things! They are our favorite second breakfast in the MK.

Angie - good to hear from you! We have roads that flood here a lot too because of the mountains. People are amazingly stupid sometimes - at least your state legislates against stupidity!:goodvibes It's a start!

I have Snooty Ladies Book Club tonight. I don't know why I keep going - probably for the free alcohol. I've been with them for 8 years now - I just can't seem to overcome the inertia and quit. Anyone else here in a book club?

Hi Heather, Tricia, Julie and Kimmy! Hope you had a good day!

Bonnie, w/r means walnut remnants. I thought everyone knew that.:confused3

Angie, yeah they showed some of those idiots on our local news. I was looking for you, but didn't see you so I figured you must be smarter than that!

Wilma, I think you should quit your book club. You can't have the time for such a thing! I wish I belonged to a book club, that would be swell. I don't know where to find one though.:confused3

Judi, whats Mr. Judi making for dinner tonight? How's mom today, other than bossing you to write Bonnie a thank you via the Sassy thread?:lmao:

Tricia, I hope Kendall has a great time at camp. At college dorm is very exciting to a teenager even if they aren't going to college yet!

Hey, Wilma...Shannon is in a book club! She invited me to join way back when but I said no because I have been in a book club before but I never liked the books we read!

:rotfl: I can't believe I didn't know that!!

Clearly, you ladies are not up on the latest lingo. W/R has meant Walrus Rebels since the Great Porpoise Uprising of 2007. Your student's parent must be a walrus supporter(as all moral people are), or perhaps the winky smiley suggests he roots for the porpoises? It's a mystery. I hope for your sake that you don't have a porpoise supporter on your hands - they can be notoriously truculent about report cards. I speak from experience, Bonnie.

Becca - I think this book club is just a habit. I mainly just go to socialize because we have really different taste in books. They rarely want to read what I want to (granted, the History of Polio is not high on everyone's list but you could give it a chance, ya know?;) ). But, the book they have chosen for the next month sounds good, I liked a previous one by the same author. We should start our own Sassy Book Club! Only, it should be a Book Report Club where you just read what you like and then tell us all about it. What do you say, Sassies?

Angie - I like Adam too - I just worry about his food. It doesn't always look so tasty! But, last night's food looked better so maybe he's okay. I am not high on the brunette with the bob haircut (I can't remember her name) - she's too stuffy on screen.

See the rest of you Sassie's in the morning!

Top of the Morning

Mrs Fop Can we read the Merck Manual too. Can we, huh, Can we?

Ok, Judi, just saw the thread name change, you nutty lady...what is c/o? Care of? :rotfl2: You're crackin' me up!

Good morning Sassys! Whats up?

Wilma, I'm all for a Sassies book club. Maybe we can start with the new Flintstone Scholastic book?

Bonnie, c/o=curious ojos. Brush up on your letter/letter combos.:lmao:

Judi, hows mom today?

Hey Kimmy, good to see you around these parts!

I'm renaming my neighbors house the house of pain, yesterday Brendan went over to ask their son to ride bikes with him and their dog always bites at the kids bike tires. Well, he started doing it to Brendan's and he latched on which he never does and Brendan went through the air landing on the cement scraping his elbow and knee. The kid is going to be nothing but a bruised scab. I'm about to wrap him in bubble wrap. Since he could walk he's had so many bruises that I was afraid I'd be arrested for child abuse, he doesn't remember where he gets any of them either. I'm glad he's not whiney, I just want him to try to be a little careful!:rotfl:

Howdy Bex! Curious ojos it is. I like the way we incorporate espanol into our daily conversation. I think we can consider ourselves bilingual.

What are you up to today?

I'm glad you consider us billingual, since I do as well. Just don't put me in a position to have to have a conversation with a real spanish speaking individual.

I'm not up to much, just waiting for the twins to arrive. Rebandaging the wounded here. I should get a nursing degree, at least I could get paid for cleaning and dressing wounds.

I consider you a nurse right now. You know as much about nursing as you do bout Spanish. It only makes sense that if you consider yourself bilingual you could also consider yourself a nurse.

I thought you were quitting the twins. Did you reconsider?

Thanks for helping Bonnie out this morning Becca, Mom needed.

Bonnie, she got the girl's letters  She would like to know if it's ok to thank them here. If not I will sit down and rewrite the first letter 1000 more times til she likes it.

It appears today will be a good day for Mom.:woohoo:
Mr. Judi had cooked enough on Sunday to reheat thru today.

:rotfl:  of yesterday. I've been battleing ants, we found the source. A plant Mom had gotten from a friend was an ant farm. Yep. Took it outside, Mr. Judi removed the plastic liner and cool, look, we've got a tunneling ant farm:rotfl2: :rotfl2: The beautiful house plant will now live outdoors til I get a new liner, debug and replant.

Oh and Toots the W/R means wrestling rotunds. I put a picture up for ya on post one.

Yay! :yay: Glad she got them. Of course it's ok to respond here! You guys don't have to respond at all. But it's fun when you do!

Sorry about the ants. Did you know black widows are scared of ants? It's true. So at least you can use them to scare off your black widows.

Oh and Toots the W/R means wrestling rotunds. I put a picture up for ya on post one.

:rotfl: Thanks for finally solving that mystery!
