I'm OK. I feel a little bummed today-crappy stuff at work and finances at home. In other words the usual!

How are you? Enjoying your summer with the girls?

Yep! So far, so good. DH is chapped at me cause I've been spending too much money, so today (after the ortho appt.) we stayed home and now the older girls each have friends over and Ainslee went to Ava's house. Tomorrow we might go to splashdown waterpark if it doesn't rain. But I'm going after 3:00 to get the half-off rate! 3:00 to 7:00 is plenty of time in that place, it's not that big. It's not like typhoon lagoon or anything!

I am hoping for a good movie to come out...a chick flick! I have movie tickets and a $25 AMC gift card to use!!

Bonnie - I do want to see Mamma Mia - it looks hilarious! Plus, the music is great. I have a Regal gift card that I am saving for the occasion.

Heather - Does Joey get to go get ice cream after his blood draw? Seems a fair deal to me.

I feel a nap coming on. I wonder if I can get the boys to entertain themselves in a non-dangerous way for an hour? What's that thing called? Oh yeah, the playstation! That's the ticket!

I'm doing pretty good. I have to leave in about 20 minutes to take Joey to the doctor. They are going to put the numbing cream on his arm then we have to wait an hour for our appointment. I think I am going to try to just hang out at the clinic and not go anywhere, but I am not sure how Joey is going to react. I am taking some coloring books and Kate's Nintendo DS (which Joey calls a CDS )

Joey will get to do anything he wants after he gets his blood drawn. His favorite thing to do is "Go to Walmart and look at the toys" Luckily he is still at an age where a 97 cent hotwheel is a cool present.....I am not going to rule out ice cream too , though

Hey hags! I'm back from the Dr., both boys had appointments today. Justin had to have his plantar warts refroze and Brendan had an ADD check up. Justin's wart invited a few friends so he had 3 frozen today all on his middle toe. He didn't scream or anything he just said owe over and over again. I remember my sister having them done and she wailed! She was a lot older than he is too. He must have his brothers high pain tolerance, eyebrow waxing and wart freezing don't bother him!

Angie, I envy your good fortune to shop in the pink aisle too. I really love all the dresses and such. They have cuter things for boys than they used to, but not as cute as girls. I better have girls for grandchildren.

OK-Gertie just totally made my **** list! She ALWAYS complains when people go get something for lunch but don't ask us if we'd like something. And in the year and a half that I've worked here she has NEVER gone and got lunch for me-I have to go EVERY single time and bring her something. I have never gone and just brought something back for myself. So what did I just hear her doing? Whispering on the phone (she does everything loudly including whispering!!) to her daughter-asking her to go get her lunch and drop it off!!!!!! Did she ask me, the person who has brought her lunch like over 50 times, if I would like something? NO!!!!! WTH?? She really is a rude, selfish little PITA!

Plus, on her b-day I felt sorry for her (cuz she was whining about how nobody bought her a cake on her b-day like some of the other girls get) so I went and bought her a cake (with my own money). Did she buy me a cake on my b-day? Of course not.

I am SO done with her............

Hi everyone!

We got back a little while ago. It went really really well. There was minimal screaming and no wiggle fighting. As soon as he saw the needle, he told the phlebotomist in no uncertain terms she had better not poke him again and he said over and over "DOn't poke Joey! DOn't do it" Which broke my heart and made me want to laugh at the same time. Once she was in the vein though, he was mostly fine.

Wilma~~ You were right about the skin part not really hurting him but when she moved the needle to get the vein he screamed oww for a second, but then he was fine.

Then as we were leaving he pointed his finger at the lady and said "Don't poke Joey again"....I guess he wanted to be sure she got it

He also got to pee in a cup which for some reason he finds really exciting.....until he has to hand over the cup. I guess he wanted to bring it home with him It is his afterall

The doctor ask him if he was feeling ok and he responded with a big ol Texas "Yep!" That's my boy.
