hi, has anyone visiting wdw from the "big easy" area sampled a muffaletta from sassagoula floatworks at port orleans? just wondering how close they come to those wonderful ones in new orleans.

I'd love to hear an answer to that also - DH orders Olive Salad from Central Grocers on Decatur for me for Valentine's Day every year so I can have a real NOLA style Muffaletta!

take some great, round crusty bread fill it full of ham and other assorted deli meats, provo cheese and that incredile olive salad (black and green olives, celery, capers, garlic and LOTS of olive oil)...heaven!!!!

Have not had them at WDW but have had them at Central Grocery in New Orleans but prefer the warm ones at the Napolean House in the Quarter.

If you're used to the ones from Central Grocery, I'd say no. Their olive salad isn't very good, and the bread leaves a lot to be desired.

The beignets, though, are great!!

Nothing compares to a Central Grocers Muffaletta....

Oh well, just have to wait for Valentines Day & a shipment of Olive Salad to make my own....

i don't know how to pronounce it,
i really don't know what it means...
but i just thought the title of this thread looked too darn cute not to post and btt...
