Saratoga Springs room request

I have booked a 2 bd villa for family with 6 adults. We've visited WDW 15+ times but never stayed at this resort before. I was wondering which sections we should request (or room number) to be close to the restaurants and bus stops.

Also can anyone could share they're favorite tips and tricks regarding this resort? Any information to make this a special trip is appreciated!

We stayed at the Congress Park section and really liked it. We had a DTD view and the main pool was only about a 10 minute walk away and DTD a 20 minute walk. The Springs area is the closest to the pool & food court. Here's a resort map: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/Saratoga.htm

I will be staying in SSR as well in about a month and I have also heard Congress is the best place to be. I've heard it has wonderful views and easy access to DD.

Either way, I've always heard any other location works just as well. Many people have said that the buses come frequently are are usually not far from the buildings at all.

If I have any false info please let me know

I just returned from SSR two weeks ago. I stayed in the Paddock, and it was wonderful (1-BR Villa). SSR is a very large resort, but, any Resort bus serves as internal transportation. The Springs (closest to the pool and lobby) is the last stop on any bus, except for the DTD bus. In that case it is the first stop. DTD is only a 10-minute ride via the boat launch. I can't imagine that you wouldn't be happy in any section.

I would stay in The Grandstand section. We were there for ten days in September and were thrilled with the location. It is immaculate, as is the rest of the resort. It was a very short walk to the main pool and building. The quiet pool there is themed and very quiet. Most importantly for us, it was the first bus stop to be picked up and dropped off. That makes a world of difference if the resort is busy.

We really love SSR. I hope you have a great stay!!

we just got back also we have stayed at Paddock first time there and it was ok because the grandstand section was not done yet, but since grandstand is done I have always returned to it, it is the first bus stop coming back that speaks for itself after a long day and first stop going to the parks which means you get seats. I would not give you two cents for the springs by pick up time the bus is packed and standing room only half the time there are some that can't get on at this stop. But again it is close to main building but I personally feel building 8501-8836 are as close to main building as some at the springs area. The closest building in grandstand to the bus stop is 8101-8436 and those are right at the bus stop. I think building 1101-2836 look out at DD but not real sure since that area is another one I have not been interested in personly.
