Saratoga Springs Resort Requests

Hi everyone! We are preparing for our upcoming trip in a couple of weeks. We will be staying at SSR for the first time. I went to check in online and it is asking me if I want to request Grandstand Section, Near Bus Stop, Near Carriage House, or Near Pool. We really don't care about being close to a pool; however, what are the Grandstand section and the Carriage House? Which should we request? We get to choose two. We are staying in a 2 bedroom villa if that helps. Thanks so much!

The Standard Locations are: The Grandstand, Carousel & the Paddock.

The Carriage House is where the front desk is and it's the main dining and shopping location.

We are in a standard I believe. It actually doesn't say on our reservation. I'm sure we can find out.

If it doesn't state "Preferred", it's a Standard Location. We prefer Grandstand since it's the first stop for theme park buses. It's also very close to the Carriage House if we want to walk over for food or to shop.

My usual "standard" request is near a pool, upper floor. That usually means Paddock, and I like that neighborhood a lot. Either the second or third bus stop, so I've never had a bus pass me by and it balances the time to leave and the time to return. The Paddock pool is really nice, and it has a functional quick service location. There is also a boardwalk over the water that is an easy walk to The Springs and the central resort amenities.

It sometimes means Grandstand, but it rules out Carousel unless there is more or less no where else they can put you.

From the furthest building in the Grandstand (building 95), it's a little over a quarter mile (~1500 feet) to the Carriage House.

Hello. I am staying at Saratoga for the first time and assuming standard since it does not state preferred. My husband and I are older, 60’s and 70’s, and trying to pick the best choices for us. There are actually 9 of us total but we’re old folks. My question is:

When I start check in my choices are:

The Grandstand Section, near Carriage House, near pool or near bus stop. It lets me choose choice #1 and choice #2.

To minimize walking, I’d choose Near Carriage House (for access to the gift shop, restaurant and quick service) and Near Bus Stop (for access to the buses to parks).
