Saratoga Springs Question

Can someone fill me in on the details of the new Grandstand villas, new pool and water play area at SSR?

Any details or expanded info would be greatly appreciated.

Theres not alot of info out yet, but someone posted that it may open late spring, with a larger pool than the quite pools and bar with food and kids play area at the pool.

Hi...We just joined SSR 9/06 . We were told from our guide/salesman that phase 3, which is the one we bought into, will open 11/06 and with a main pool. The theme will be of horse racing so, per Dan, SSR is supposed to have 2 main pools, but I keep reading other things about it so I am a little confused now . We were also told that phase 4 will open next year with no plans for another restaurant. We are planing for our first trip home 05/07...and we can't wait .

When we were there a month ago, it looked like Phase 3 (Carousel) was almost compete and they were finishing up some landscaping. The busses were already stopping at that section, but I never saw guests. The Grandstands (Phase 4) had a ways to go. We saw them building what looked like a pool house while we were there. Just my observation, but it looked like that is where the next themed pool was going.

We just got back last night from a one week stay, the Carousel section looks like it will open any time they were cleaning up all around the outside and looks ready. We did see some new things up by the new pool area towards the end of the week it looked like a starting gate was up, might tie into a playground area not sure as we saw this as we were getting ready to leave.

That will be super - if you're armed with a camera, try to sneak in a few pictures of SSR, especially the new sections and new pool area if you can.

Yeah I would love to see what's going on down there ... I have to wait about 11 months before I get to see it in person!

I was at SSR a week ago and they are working on a few buildings yet. They are located near the main gate on the left and the right side of the road. I spoke with Greg Coots ( our sales person) while we were there, and he said there is a main pool and also a pool that has a lot of fountains in it. He said there will also be another pool being built, so a total from what I understood, to be 3 pools for sure. The one building already had windows in it, but there is still construction things around it yet.

The grounds are just beautiful now. Bus service will be improving dramatically by September of 2007. They will have the entire resort finished by then. Greg said that until the resort iss fully completed, they are only allowed a percentage of buses. Makes sense I guess. Buses ran about every 15-20 minutes. Seemed longer though if you were waiting for a bus to pick you up at DDD going back to the resort. I would suggest taking the fairy back to the resort from DDD.
