Saratoga Springs at Thanksgiving

We are new DVC members. We (my DH, DD, DS) signed up after our last visit in Aug, 2003 in the Saratoga Springs property. We are now getting ready to take our first trip since becoming DVC members this Thanksgiving. So my questions are;

1) What experiences have people had with Saratoga Springs?

2) How are the crowds and weather during the Thanksgiving week? We are going from Sunday before to Sunday after Thanksgiving.

3) How is the whole DVC experience at Disney? Being new members we are excited to test the waters. We feel like we are part of the "in-crowd".

most people have loved SSR - other have only liked it - a few have hated it. so pretty normal for a NEW resort - give it time - it will improve.

I am expecting this Thanksgiving to really busy. WDW has already length some of the parks hours from last year at the same time.

Next year Oct/Nov for the WDW part will be in regular season not value season.

So yes expect lots of people.

I am hoping that the crowds won't start until Wednesday - but I don't know how much is based on history (that doesn't apply anymore) vs fact (many more schools are now out for the entire week).
