Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

Hi Sara,
Wow your trial went amazing, you look absolutely beautiful! I love the hair and make-up, and the headband looks beautiful with the hair too! Glad you liked Lana too, so now you have two different great artists you could request on your wedding day! It will be here before you know it!
Marissa

The hair and makeup look great!! I'm so glad I've booked Beaute Speciale, every time I see brides who used them I'm more impressed :goodvibes

Not sure if you posted this, but did you have an inspiration pic that you showed Lane? Your hair looks gorgeous!!

I actually used one from a magazine, but I'll try to take a pic of it for you later. Here's a pic that's pretty similar ;).

The hair and make-up look gorgeous! :thumbsup2 It's great that you both connected, it does make it easier to make sure you are on the same page with what you want.

Thanks! DF jokes that we were talking like a mile a minute. It made the whole thing really fun though because it did take a loooong time!

I am really enjoying reading about your planning session! Being an Escape bride I don't get one so I'm totally jealous:headache: All your choices sound so yummy! Your hair and make-up look really great! Can't wait to read more!

I think it stinks that Escape brides don't get to do any of that. At least the cake you guys should get to try. Thanks so much, we had a great time at the PS and I'm so excited my hair actually stayed curled!

Love, love your linen choices.

Your hair looks fantastic and the makeup looks good even though you are not used to it I think it looked great. Glad that you and Lane hit it off and that way it made it a great experience.

Thank you. DF and I both love those so much, and although we haven't seen the price of those yet and have made lots of other cuts, we definitely want to keep the tablecloths. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much. I think part of it was I was already wearing liquid foundation so it felt extra heavy. I usually only wear mineral make-up so it definitely felt different than normal.

Wow, everything from your PS looks so great. I love your hair too.

I'm super jealous, I wish we could have done a menu tasting! Evething seems to be coming together nicely for you!

We really had a great time. Thanks so much. The menu tasting was one of the best parts and the only free thing you really get so I had to do it.

Thanks so much Marissa! She was really nice. I think a lot of my girls are getting their hair and make-up done too, so it's definitely good to have a few artists we can request. I know! I can't believe it's a little over four months away!

Love your hair and make up.

I love your hair, it looks gorgeous!

Your hair and makeup look beautiful.

thanks girls! :goodvibes

Your information is awesome, thank you for all your details!

You're very welcome. I found other brides PJ's and TR's so helpful, so I'm glad to be able to help other brides too. :)

You'll love them, they really do a great job!

Hey Sara, I had a question about your magnet save the dates. Where did you order them from? I loved the vertical one's layout, and havent been able to find a similar one with on Vista Print. Did you design it yourself? All the templetes seem to be horizontal, none vertical on there! Thanks!
Marissa

Hey Marissa,

I ordered them from Magnet Street. They were a little pricey but I like getting the magnets and people do keep them later on. If you sign up for their mailing list they'll send you coupon codes every now and then. They have a ton of different designs and you can completely change around the colors which I really liked.

Wow, I can't believe it's been a month since our PS! Things have been really busy lately with work and packing and all of that. We're closing on our house tomorrow and I can't wait!

Let's see the rest of the PS trip. We went to MK the next day for a little bit but it was really crowded.

We rode Splash Mountain and then had lunch at the Plaza. We did a few filler rides, and some things that we never did before like Country Bear Jamboree, and now I know why we never went on it before! And I got a dole whip, that was awesome but the line was insane!

On the way out we saw these cute baby ducks

We were both not really feeling so great so DF took a nap and I went to the gift shop. I did buy the Bride ears and a regular ears hat so I can make DF a hat. The top hat doesn't fit on his head.

I also was able to book bounce back for August and saved $500 off the wedding rate. :thumbsup2

And recent wedding stuff... We got our BEO and it was a back to reality moment... excluding floral it came to $37k  I won't be posting it, it's just too long and I really don't want to think about how much everything is costing as I type it out , but if anyone has questions about specific elements I can definitely let you know. ;)

So we had to rework the whole thing. I ran a few different scenarios and we cut a lot of things, including my awesome slider filled welcome party :sad1:, but as DF pointed out, no one is expecting anything like that and people are all arriving at different times and will want to do their own thing anyway. I was a little sad about all the cuts at first, but I've had time to come to terms with it and I know that the wedding will still be amazing because I get to marry DF and celebrate with our friends and family in our favorite place :lovestruc

We're going to focus on the wedding day and are keeping the reception extension and dessert party...and we may add things back once we get the RSVPs back and have a final count. I have the invitations almost ready to be assembled, so we'll be sending those out pretty soon.

We got our DJ, we're going to have DJ Scott Messina. We really wanted a party atmosphere and I think he'll do a great job at that.

And my dress came in! But I probably won't go see it until sometime after we move. And I think she said I had to schedule my first fitting for mid to late June. It's so crazy to me that the wedding is so close now and I still have a million things to do!

I can't beleive you don't like Country Bear Jamboree, I think it is so cute :rotfl:

I totally understand about making cuts. If it makes you feel any better, I wish I didn't spend so much on my welcome party. Looking back, I wish I would have just paid for dinner @ RR or even HDDR, and like your DF said, I don't think anyone would have expected anything from you anyhow.

Good luck with moving :thumbsup2

Sara- I guess I've read along here, but never posted...shame on me! :rotfl: Congrats on getting Scott as your DJ!! :woohoo: He was my DJ and is just awesome at his job and as a person!! You will love him especially if you're looking for a total party! I remember getting that first BEO and my stomach just dropping when I actually saw the numbers (and it didn't include floral or any of our other events either ). Sorry you have to cut things like the sliders, but your DF is right- your guests will never miss them b/c they won't expect them. I had to use the same reasoning for a few things as well. Leave the things that you want and that your guests will notice, appreciate, and enjoy. That's my suggestion anyway. Are you still keeping the reception confetti cannons? :upsidedow

Your trial went so well-- you looked beautiful! And yay that YOUR dress is in. It's so different when it's your actual dress and not the sample. :goodvibes Look forward to reading more! :cutie:

lol, I think maybe I needed to develop a love of it as a child. And the sound seemed really off, I felt like I was 90 years old or something because I couldn't really hear a lot of it! Actually one of our GM was asking if they still had it since he remembers it from when he went as a kid :rotfl:

Yeah we were totally expecting it to be high...just not that high. The welcome party was like $8k! Lol, maybe we can all just go to white castle instead, they have sliders there for like 10 cents :lmao:. I definitely think it would have been nice to do something, but we can still hang out with everyone.

Thanks! I totally need it, I really don't like packing at all and I keep procrastinating.

Thanks for reading and don't worry, I'm definitely guilty of that too ;). Sometimes I even think I did post something on other PJ's and am really shocked to see that I never did. I'm so excited to have him after hearing about how much you guys liked him! And then I was looking at his website and hey if he's good enough for Johnny Damon, he's good enough for me! :) We definitely want a party so I'm glad to know we're in good hands.

I think DF had a mini freak-out when he got that email :lmao:. He called me right away to ask if I'd seen it. Thanks for the advice, that's definitely what we're doing deciding our must haves and going from there. Most of our guests won't even know about half the things anyway.

I was so excited about the confetti cannons and I asked Karen but she said they have to do it at the end now for safety reasons because people could fall or something . So I think I have to give up on those because we'd have to add photography time.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes I really loved how my hair turned out, I love curls but usually my hair won't stay. It was so strange to get the call about the dress yesterday I didn't think it'd be in until late May or June. I'm really excited to see it since the color is different from the sample and to try it on again. :)

:laughing:We saw the mom and baby ducks too! They were on Main St in MK and they looked horrified, people were letting their kids chase them and I thought the mommy duck was going to have a heart attack:sad2: Poor mama duck!

You mention white castle and I start drooling ;)

There's none in FL so I have to get my fix when I go to NY.

im sorry you had to make cuts dear. thats always hard. congrats on picking a DJ and your dress coming in! fun fun!

So instead of focusing on the bad stuff, tell us about everything you are keeping - I am sure it's all going to be amazing. :goodvibes

That's terrible! I hope they managed to get where they were going.

Really? We have so many here, lol, no wonder it's so much for sliders then . Actually DF has never been so I'm going to have to find a day to bring him. He's only had the freezer ones which aren't the same.

It's okay, I'm really fine with it now and I know things are going to be amazing. I'm so excited about my dress...I'm trying to be patient and not see it yet since I have a million other things that I need to be doing...but we'll see how long I can hold out. ;)

You're definitely right. :) We are keeping the Dessert Party with the cheesecake lollipops :lovestruc, we're also going to keep the music. It's a lot of money for a short time but Karen really insisted we should keep it and she'd find a way to save us that money somewhere else. We're extending the reception so that the party goes till mid-night and we'll have the chiavari chairs and linens we picked. We'll have our great menu that we tasted and I'm very excited for that. We're going to keep the bus transportation for our guests. It is a lot of money but I think it's something that will make a big difference in our guests' comfort and they won't have to worry about how they're getting to and from the wedding. We're also going to keep our GF RPC room, we've always wanted to stay there. So there's really a lot to look forward to. :goodvibes

Your hair and makeup trial look great, thanks for posting the pictures!

Thanks so much! I was really happy with how it all turned out and as Lane said for the wedding they would actually set it and spray it more so it will be even better. :thumbsup2
