After we decided on the cake we went over a few more details and then Karen let us take a break for 20 minutes to walk off all the food before our meeting with floral.
We walked over to the Grand Floridian and took a look at the Summer House. We just love this resort so much.
and the doors were open so I got to peek inside.
So there is some type of shelter if it rains, but it'd be pretty squishy in there.
We sat for a few minutes but it was pretty much time to head back so we walked back over and Laura was there waiting for us.
We went through our wedding colors, the type of look we were going for. Laura showed us various pictures of bouquets and flowers. If you're worried that you don't have anything picked out or aren't sure what you want, don't worry. Laura was able to nail down a look based on just a few ideas we had and she clearly knows her stuff. I'm having Disney price out similar floral elements too, this way I can see if it is better to use outside floral or Disney. Lee is much cheaper for personal floral, so if anything we may do that and use Disney for floral decor, but we'll see.
She showed us pictures of decor at the WP, we choose to reuse the reception floral at the WP in tall candelabras. DF apparently doesn't like fabric swagging.

See girls, this is what happens when you ask their opinion.

So we decided on pewter and lavender ribbon swagging behind the candelabras.
For the pre-reception we'll have white linens and chair covers with lavender sashes. On each table will be a bud floating in a glass bowl.
Centerpieces are similar to what we discussed with Lee. I think we added floral petals to the cake table.
Now onto my favorite part, the linens! I don't know why I care so much about this, but I really like nice linens and chiavari chairs. This is the linen look we're going for:
Only without the swagging. I think the table cloth is pretty enough on it's own and the swagging would cost a lot more.
I think we're going to do the pocket napkin fold and put the menu in there. Karen mentioned that the kitchen doesn't like you to list out all the entree options for pre-selected meals since guests sometimes change their mind. I said to just tell them no.

But we did discuss maybe doing personal menu's. We'll see how ambitious I get as we get closer to the wedding.
Laura picked out all the fabrics in our color scheme. Here are the pewter colored ones. There's a pin-tuck, an eyelash pin-tuck and something else I don't remember.
and the lavender ones.
here's what we picked. Pewter eye-lash pin-tuck linens with lavender napkins. The one side of the napkin is sheer and organza like and the other side is a flat poly cotton.
I loved how the eye-lash linens had a little bit of sparkle too them. I think we also added some type of rhinestones sprinkled on the tables.
Then we talked about the Dessert party. We decided to stick with standard linens and chairs and add a few of those glow cylinders. I couldn't pick the confetti so we're doing a mix of silver mickey, coach and castle.
After that we discussed the welcome party. We're trying to keep it really simple and light on decor. Plus there are limitations with the existing tables. So I think we talked about added the red checked table cloths for the added tables and red napkins. But then DF wasn't sure he liked that, so we may cut that.
We'll also be renting these for the table signs.
And that was our PS.
As we were leaving, DF was a little confused since we had added things I said earlier we'd probably cut. I explained to him how the PS is really like your dream vision and then you get the bill

and come back to reality.

So I'm sure there will be lots of changes, but basically if I thought I wanted it, I added it.
We left Francks and did a little shopping at the GF and then headed back to CBR for my hair trial.
