Thanks so much! I really like the Madd Hatters too, but I thought it might be too whimsical. I think this one is perfect though. I'm not sure if I don't like flowers or I don't like those flowers. I do think it might look nice plain and just show off the patterns and fondant draping.

Thanks! We do have a rhinestone "C", there's a pic somewhere in here. It's not really anything spectacular and I guess it could technically go on top of the flowers... DF doesn't like cake toppers since he saw a show where David Tutera said he hates them. I'm so excited to move in and I totally agree, it'll be really nice to just come home after the honeymoon and be all settled.

Thanks! I am so excited we finally picked one, we've been having this debate for weeks! Lol, well he is opinionated about certain things, but must other things he doesn't really care. And the cake topper thing came from one episode of My Fair Wedding where he happened to see the five minutes where David said he hated cake toppers, and it's stuck with him ever since!

Thanks hun! We're so excited, we got to see the house again yesterday, but of course in all the craziness I forgot to take pics . But we're really excited and thinking of all the possibilities.

It was really a tough choice, we want back and forth for weeks, first it was the mickey wave cake, then madd hatter, then custom, then back to Madd Hatter...but I had this pic for a few weeks and would always be looking at it. Finally I made DF look through them again and he liked that one best too... lol, or it could have been to make me stop showing him pictures of cake!

I know it will be a battle to pick ours, I think we will have a small "exhibition" cake and then some sheet cake for the guests on the back, overall since we have the dessert party afterwards.

I so can't wait for your planning session, you have to take tons of pics so I can live vicariously through you!

DH and I walked right by Francks last week and we wanted to go in, but I wanted to keep the day as wedding free as possible, so we just walked on along past the pavilion and onto the GF.

I was a bit disappointed we didn't catch any weddings going on while we passed by, I would have loved to stalk a random wedding

Thanks! I think that's a great idea. I really wanted to be practical and do that but I just love the look of a big cake! Probably because I love cake so much and then I can pretend it's all for me and I'm going to eat it all!

Oh don't worry, DF will be embarrassed by all the pictures I plan to take! He's actually used to me taking all the food pictures, but I'm a very visual person so I'll definitely need pictures so I remember. I'm so excited! I can't believe it's in 17 days! It's so weird, I feel like I've been looking forward to all of this for so long and now it's almost here!

That's too bad, it is really fun to see weddings happening. When we went in June we saw a few weddings. We saw some when passing on the monorail and then we met a girl who was getting married in the elevator and she was on her way to her Bridal tea party. We also saw a Wedding party taking pics in the lobby but the bride wasn't there.

Hey Ladies,

Just wanted to quickly update before we leave for our PS trip tomorrow. I've been a little MIA lately, my grandfather passed away a few weeks ago so I haven't really been in a wedding planning mood. We weren't very close and he was not really the warmest person, in a way he reminded me of Grumpy, a little grouchy but still lovable in his way. The last time I spoke to him he was saying how excited he was for the wedding and how much he enjoyed looking through the pictures on our wedding website. So just the fact that he won't be there has been hard. I know he wouldn't want me to be sad and that he'll be celebrating with us in spirit.

I'm doing a lot better now and very excited to go to Disney for our Planning Session. I'll be sure to post lots of details when we get back. We'll be meeting with our Florist, Disney, having a tasting and doing my hair trial, so we'll be really busy but will definitely find some time for the parks.

I'm really sorry about your grandpa...I know how hard that can be. But your right he will be there in spirit. Maybe you can do a chair empty for him (thats what I am doing) that is a nice touch and a private tribute to him being there.

Have a very safe flight and lots of fun. Can't wait to hear how everything goes (try and relax as well....so not everything is crazy and wedding stuff)

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandpa. We went through something similar when DH loss his dad 3 months before our wedding. They had not been really close when DH was growing up, but had really started to bond the last few years and his dad was so excited for the wedding. He even had gotten us a hall to hold our at-home reception to share the wedding with our family back in MI. It was hard not to have him there the day of the wedding, but we were able to find ways to incorporate his memory into the day.

hey sara! i am so sorry to hear about your grandpa. i totally understand being my grandpa died the day after my wedding. i just kept my telling through my honeymoon that he would want us to enjoy it and not be sad. ( i wanted to fly back to NY but my mom told me not to since he was still in florida and it took a few days to fly him back to NY and the funeral in NY was not until 2 days after we returned from our honeymoon) he will def be there in spirit. keep your head up!

so excited for you with your PS. have a wonderful time and looking forward to hearing about it when you get back!
