Sara & Ryan's Wishes PJ & TR ~ 8/17/10 WP/GF/Marina ~ 1/22 Thank you!

Oh, that is so exciting about the house! DF and I started house hunting too, although ours is moving a lot slower.

I love Tusker House Breakfast!! I think it was my favourite meal of our whole trip last year! At MK, I also love Crystal Palace, but since you already have 2 buffets, it is probably nice to have some that don't. That is so fun that concierge can make the ressies for you!

We loved Biergarten when wwe went, somewhere we really want to go back to!

I think concierge are a bit hit or miss about first contacting you, so don't worry if you have to make the first move.

Congratulations on the house hunting! We both our house nearly three years ago (people rent less in the U.K), and I am so glad we bought, our house needed work too and it has been great turning it into "our" home if that makes sense?

We also think that after the wedding if we decide we went to start trying for a baby, we have a house and a garden so there is no stress trying to move then :thumbsup2

Ooh good to hear! I've always wanted to go there I think it looks so cute inside. :lovestruc

I don't mind emailing them, but I did email them before because I'd heard they were hit or miss and I got a pretty abrupt email saying that they don't deal with you more than 200 days in advance...I think I was at 220 days at that point, so it kinda gave me a bad first impression especially for all the $$ we're paying.

Congrats to you on buying your house and making it into your own home. Exactly, it's almost good in a way since you can make it your own taste and it's really yours. I totally agree, I wouldn't want to be pregnant and house hunting, plus then I wouldn't be able to help out as much once we moved in.

Keeping my fingures crossed for you!

Thanks Claire! Every little bit of pixie dust helps. :goodvibes

Good for you! It's really discouraging when you see things that aren't so great but really exciting when you find something you like. We really didn't expect to see anything quite so soon either but I know the contract process takes a long time anyway from my coworkers. Good luck in your search!

I love Tusker House! We've been to Crystal Palace but I thought it was too crowded and I never got to see Pooh when we went because every time he'd be near us they'd start the parade and he'd go away. I thought at Tusker House they did a much better job of making sure everyone saw each character. I really like 1900 Park Fare too, so maybe that will be a girly brunch on our wedding day since DF doesn't like it.

That's the part I'm most excited about! Last year I spent 3 hours on the phone with Disney Dining so I'm not keen to do that again.

YAy for putting an offer in on the house! That's so exciting!!!

Thanks Mandy! We're really excited. It's looking pretty good but we have to try not to get our hopes up too much, but it's kinda tough since that's our house. :rolleyes1

Yes! I hope the offer on the house goes through, sending tons of pixie dust! :wizard:

We have done Biertgarten just the two of us two times before, it was a blast. I am sooo shy around strangers I was very scared of getting seated with a different group, but we had great table mates both times, and one of the times we went during Oktoberfest and the band picked me as the Germany pavilion princess for the day and I had to dance with a complete stranger in front of the whole restaurant :rotfl:

I did get a cool certificate and the right to lord over the pavilion for the entire day though :rotfl2:.

Another year we made ressies for a large group of adults during the food and wine fest and we had a blast having some beers and trying everything off the buffet. We closed the place down. :thumbsup2

Another buffet we have done with a large group has been Boma for dinner, lots of fun there too, but we went in with the whole daring to eat whatever is in our sights mission. Some people might be against it if they are picky eaters, but DH and I adore it since we love to eat all kinds of stuff.

Whispering Canyon for Breakfast is yet another place we have done with a large group. We found all the fun things to ask for there and we laughed so hard! Our waiter(s) were extremely playful and we knew that we were in for a fun time full of corny jokes and silly antics so we were game. Plus we all had a sugar high from the bottomless milkshakes.

Will let you know if I remember any more!

Hi again... I decided that it was about time that I caught up with your pj again, and I really like all your current plans!

I second the fact that the Polynesian Cultural Center is a must; DF is so annoyed with the fact that everytime he mentions wanting to go to Hawaii I go on and on about that place. I'm so excited for the fact you get to go on a Lost tour, that will be incredible.

For our conceirge reservations they emailed us 5 days in advance of the 180 mark of our reservation; with it they attached a form that we could write down the tours and ADRs we wanted them to book for us. You're getting close to that point, so if you want to get it organised soon I don't think they will mind if you contact them now about it.

I look forward to reading more about your plans :goodvibes

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I want to go to Biergarten even more now! We have avoided it because we also seem to get seated with weirdos when we try to do things like that. It's like they are drawn to us!

Mmm Whispering Canyon, I kinda forgot about that one!

Thanks! I'm hoping it works out, we should hear something tomorrow. :)

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

Lol, I'm glad you like it so much. We're definitely going to work it into our plans. :cutie:

Good to know on the concierge, I'll probably email them next week or so since I'm a crazy Disney planner! I do have to figure out our ADR's so I guess I can give them a little more time. ;)

yay congrats on putting an offer on a house! thats so exciting! I love that you think it looks like Cinderella's Royal Table thats awesome. Can I ask what town you guys are looking in? Sorry just curious I miss LI.

The sharpies sound awesome, where did you order them from?

Yay for ADRs. Club level didn't email me til about a week and half before so don't worry! I like your ADRs so far. We are doing Tusker house BF and Biergarten as well. We did sci fi last time and LOVED it. I am not much help with other ADRs because we have only eaten at a few. I saw totally avoid San Angel but thats all I got. You are welcome to follow any of my list. I got a lot of suggestions for where we are going.

That's great that you put an offer in on a house, congrats!

We really liked Tusker's Breakfast and Sci-fi were good and we got lunch at ESPN on the BW before we left for the airport and the food was good, I mean we just got burgers, but they were quite tasty as were the nachos. We did like Tony's too.

Thanks! So far it's looking pretty good. I mean the house does need some work, both bathrooms need to be redone and the kitchen needs some updating but I think for our price range we'll have to fix up anything really.

It really does remind me of CRT. The arches between the rooms are shaped like the ones on the castle and the staircase is under an arch and kinda curves around...not really sure how we'll get furniture up there but I'm sure there must be a way.

Here's the link for the sharpies. It cost about $17 with shipping for 6 of them.

I used the cupid font which was really cute. :lovestruc

Oh good to know, I worry myself about this stuff too much sometimes. I mean I know a week or so before is still plenty of time...

Thanks! I'm so excited to try some new places. I love Sci Fi too! It's a shame that San Angel is so cute but the food apparently isn't so good, but we're not big on Mexican food anyway. Hmm maybe time to read some dining reviews...DF thinks I'm crazy for reading about Disney food all the time!

I missed your reply! I hope everything works out with the house. (I wanna see pics if it looks like CRT ;) )

I know where that is. I grew up in Commack. I don't think it was either but i'm pretty sure the only reason my mom watches that show is because its based on LI :rotfl:

i'm a worrier as well! So don't worry. Its normal to get worried with stuff like this.

We love Mexican food so thats why it was such a let down for us. My DF is the one who reads food reviews all the time! He thinks with is stomach mostly, thats why he wants club level! free food! AllEars has really good reviews

Well they wouldn't budge much on price, and with two bathrooms and a kitchen that needed to be redone, we opted to pass and look for something that won't need quite so much work since DF is not very handy. So unfortunately I won't be able to get any pics for you. :sad1:

We did find another house that has potential though and are going to see it on Saturday. My mom and her friend (our real estate agent) already saw it and both said they liked it better. Plus the only work is needs is just cosmetic stuff like paint and things we can do ourselves.

Yeah I have to try not to get so overwhelmed. You and me both need to remember to take time to relax and just focus on ourselves and not all the craziness around us. :cutie:

Oh I totally think with my stomach too! I'm actually really sad for when we do find a house and have to leave our apartment because there are so many delicious food choices here and so many stores I like. I would have liked to get a house in this area but it's too far away for my mom to come everyday. :sad1: But there are so many delicious things.

Hey Everyone,

Happy Superbowl Sunday, or as I like to call it eating tons of bad food with no guilt day! Tomorrow though we really need to kick it into gear with our healthy eating since we're only about 6 months from the wedding.

I got our personalized Sharpies on Friday and they are very cute. The holder piece on the cap is a little flimsy, but overall I really like them. We just got basic black since I thought that would look best in our guestbook but they had lots of other colors. Here are some pics.

I've also set up an appointment to meet with our florist when we're there in March. Since we have the extra day now it would be silly not to and he was really excited to meet us in person. We'll have to rent a car for the day since cab fare would be outrageous but I'm really excited to see what ideas he has.

I do still need to book Beaute Speciale for a hair trial. Just need to figure out which day.

I started doing the itinerary for our August trip since our ADR booking day is 2/15 but geeze, these wedding events are really getting in the way of my park touring! :lmao:

And in other news... We're buying a house! We went to see the one my mom found and really liked it. It has a nice layout and most of the work is just cosmetic stuff like paint and things like that. They accepted our offer so now we just have to have the inspection and actually get a mortgage...let's keep our fingers crossed that that is not a huge ordeal! I actually have to go to TD bank today to see what they'll offer me.

My mom has been too funny through the whole process, she's driven around the neighborhood, talked to the neighbors, etc. My dad is very happy too and thinks it'll be a very good house for us. We actually really lucked out since there was not much in the areas we were looking at so if it didn't work out with this one we'd just have to wait until after the wedding. Which we were mostly okay with but this whole apartment situation is really stressful and our landlord is literally here every week fixing things. Plus we're kinda getting to the point where we're outgrowing this apartment and are so excited for all the room we'll have in the house. DF even gets his man cave in the basement!

It's a little scary to be spending all this money with the wedding still coming up but I'm sure it will be fine and at least after the wedding we'll be able to relax a little. At worst we can always scale back a little but DF doesn't really want to do that.

If all goes well we may be moving in around the end of April / early May. So it's a good thing I'm lazy and didn't print all the return addresses on our invitation envelopes yet like I had planned too! Yes, once again procrastination pays off!

The sharpies are cute, we used markers in our wedding colors for our guest frame mat and it actually looks nice, but I think black is best for the book.

Congrats on the house! That is awesome, I hope everything goes smoothly for you. And yea for 6 months, it will be here before you know it.

I've been lurking and finally decided to say "Hi" :goodvibes

I'm also from Long Island (Huntington Station) and have always known Long Island weddings are crazy expensive like the houses :rotfl2: I have been dreaming about a destination wedding forever (Disney as my first choice of course).

DBF (one day "soon" DF) is from Commack and he wants a destination wedding too but he's a Disney hater. Like you, I'd have to have a summer wedding, because some of my family (including myself) are working on school calendars.

I love your details and for now, I'll live vicariously through you :thumbsup2

Good luck with the house and can't wait to read more!

congrats on the house!!! That's so exciting! Those sharpies are freakin adorable...what a great idea. I didn't know you could do that with Sharpies, very cool! :cutie:

Thanks! Oh I bet that did look nice. I really wanted to get a few colors but they only let you order one color per set, and the purple wasn't quite right so I thought it might look funny. ;)

We're really excited! I hope so too, I think it will but it's all happening so quick! I mean we could be moving in 2-3 months and getting married in 6, how crazy!

love the sharpies! congrats on the house too!:goodvibes

Thanks so much! :)

Thanks for reading and great to meet you! :goodvibes Cool, I work pretty close to there. I think only people from here can really understand. What's funny is my MOH moved to NC and her husband is from there. They came up here to go to her cousins wedding and he didn't understand that the cocktail hour wasn't the full meal. He was eating so much and he didn't believe her when she said there was still a sit down dinner afterwards

Aww, have you brought him to Disney yet? My DF wasn't a huge Disney fan until we went for our first trip, now he loves it too but it still took some convincing for him to come around to the idea of a destination wedding. Maybe your DF will come around, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. :cutie: You know, two years ago I remember reading Carrie and Vanessa's Wedding TR's and thinking how amazing their weddings were and how my DF would never agree to it...but he did! :cloud9:

those sharpies are so cute! what a great idea :goodvibes

I really like them, they had cute designs for other holidays too but they weren't really wedding relevant.

congrats on the house!!! That's so exciting! Those sharpies are freakin adorable...what a great idea. I didn't know you could do that with Sharpies, very cool! :cutie:

Thanks so much! We are so excited! :woohoo: And now we'll have a place to put all the things we registered for which is even more exciting! I had no idea either, I saw them on project wedding or something like that, and thought it was such a cute idea.

I wish I was as dedicated to my diet as you were! haha tho...my junk food week where I was like I just don't care...I lost 3 pounds so I don't really get that haha! You are too good!

I love the sharpies they are great.

Congrats on the house! Thats so awesome! I'm so happy for you. I love the idea of a man cave...sometimes I wish i could send DF to one of those when the video games and football is getting to be too much.

Take pictures when you get a chance! I wanna see!
