I never knew Santa didn't wrap gifts until a coworker told me about their tradition growing up.

We wrap too but I'm curious for those with more than one child, how do you distinguish between each child's gift? I've been making labels on the computer with the kids' names but curious to hear other ideas.

While Santa never wrapped gifts, he did include tags that were tied to the gift with ribbon. Each kids stocking was left by their gift as well.

Each child gets a chair and area of our living room and all their presents are displayed or built here. There stocking which is personalised then goes right by their chair/floor space and then they know which pile of pressies are for them

Each of my girls gets her own wrapping paper - usually with their favorite character. Oldest DD loves Tinkerbell, Middle DD loves Tigger, Youngest DD like Mickey/Minnie. So I usually try to get something with that character on it. This year, oldest DD is getting penguins on her wrapping paper - she loves penguines (she's also getting socks with penguins on them!)

And our girls each have a certain spot in the living room where Santa leaves their presents.

My girls are older (29, 25, and 16) and they still love to have their Santa presents wrapped - and look forward to seeing what kind of paper "Santa" picked for their presents!!!

Everything gets wrapped at our house. Even the stocking stuffers. Santa has really squiggly handwriting because he is so old. DS26 made a joke last year when my mom, who is a little shakey, signed his birthday card. He said I always knew Gramma was Santa! We all got a big laugh out of that!
We also take turns opening presents. It makes the day last longer and we can see what everyone gets!

Well, Santa doesn't wrap the presents - but his elves do! lol

Each kid has their own type of wrapping paper. :)

Santa wraps all of the gifts in a special themed paper. The paper used to match the child's interest (Barbie, High School Musical, Tinkerbelle, Disney princesses, etc.). Now that DD is older (11, but not as into the themed stuff), the paper is just something fun. This year it is a reddish paper with big hot pink and lime green polka dots on it. The gifts will all have lime green bows on them too.

This, exactly! Although this year the paper is hot pink with brightly colored candy (DD is into pink and black this year).

I had to fuss about the elves bringing Santa's paper and leaving a piece of it where she could find it. She so wants an Elf on the Shelf, so I told her that just because she can't SEE it doesn't mean there isn't an elf playing around the house and reporting back to Santa. Right?

The only gifts under the tree on Christmas are from Santa, so they are all wrapped. Santa uses different paper for the boys. I love watching the boys open each gift one at a time and seeing their faces.

We give the boys presents for us on Christmas Eve before Mass.

Some of them are wrapped. But, the bigger stuff that will have to have batteries or take time to set up Christmas day, get opened and set up Christmas Eve so that they are ready to play with Christmas day.

For example, my son has been asking for a Cars 2 race track. So we bought him one. We'll open it and get it all set up Christmas Eve so it's ready for him Christmas morning. We also picked up a Cars play-tent thing at Costco a week or so ago, and we'll have that set up so he can play with it Christmas day.

I never realized Santa did not wrap gifts at everyone's house. Here, Santa wraps each child's in their own paper and joint gifts in a separate one also. Nothing is labeled, they can tell which are theirs based on what is used in their stocking.

Hahahaha...DH and I were just discussing this yesterday! My parents were divorced. My mom didn't wrap Santa gifts, my dad did. That was actually how I realized Santa was not real...because Santa's presents were wrapped with the same wrapping paper that dad's presents were, and had dad's handwriting on the tags, lol.

Dh wants to wrap Santa's gifts...I want to leave them unwrapped. Haven't decided yet what we'll do.

I can't believe people wrap their stocking stuffers. That's just too much work for me, lol.

Santa gifts wrapped in different paper with Santas or Reindeer on it and left by the stockings rather than under the tree. Stocking stuffers remain unwrapped. And Santa only brings one or two gifts. I want credit for some of the presents since I work so hard to select just the right gifts ;)

I think it is so nice of Santa to ask every single mommy and daddy what they prefer for the children. That's why he is such a nice Santa! At our house, I've asked that Santa wrap his gift in special paper that no other gifts can be wrapped in. Also presents from family members to other family members can go under the tree before Christmas but santas gifts don't get delivered until Christmas eve. Also, our little one gets a stocking from Grammy and grandpa and a stocking from Santa. Hes alittle spoiled. First grandchild! :)all gifts are wrapped whether under the tree or in a stocking.

Yes, Santa gifts are wrapped.

we have designated Santa paper that dosen't get used for anything else that year.

We even have a designated Santa label writter (neighbor) so all the labels for all the kids look exactly the same.

Santa is a serious business round these part ;)

Santa wraps in white tissue paper and most of the stocking gifts are wrapped too. That's the way he did it when I was a kid. Our stockings are not huge so there are just a few little things to wrap. Each kid has a pile w/their stocking in front. The rest is wrapped & under the tree ahead of time.
