Santa Fe Prices and Ibis Val D'Europe

Hi all,

Just a quick question. Or two :) ...

My friend and I are heading to DLRP 10-12 August. Our park tickets are already sorted so we don't need a package - we're just looking at hotels now.

I've priced up the Santa Fe, and it's coming out at around £190 per night. Is this the standard rate for August? As in, is this pretty much it, and it's not going to get any cheaper? I know there's talk of a flash sale coming around, but would that flash sale also include weekends in August?

Just wanted to gauge prices really - £380 is too much for us to pay.

We might have a possible CM discount from our old friends at WDW, but if that doesn't work out, we were considering the Ibis Val D'europe which works out around £65 a night.

Has anyone stayed there? We're drawn to it because of it's proximity to the RER station.

Thanks :thumbsup2

The Santa Fe isn't going to come down to anywhere near £65 per night in August, and the Ibis is very handy for DLP, you couldn't get closer really unless you were staying at the DLH or HNY, so I'd go for the Ibis personally :).

We were willing to pay around £120 night for Santa Fe - but as we have no experience with DLRP hotels we haven't got a clue :rotfl:

I think that's what I wanted to hear though, so thank you :) The Ibis is still half of what we are willing to pay for Santa Fe which can only mean more cocktails!

Thanks again!

We are going in June and staying at the IBIS Budget (Etap Hotel) which is right next door to the IBIS (so also next to train station) and is only £56 a night. Worth a look!

I've stayed at the Ibis and would recommend it.

It's a bit like a Travelodge in the UK. The rooms are basic but they have everything you need and were spotlessly clean. It's a modern hotel.

It's not a great hotel for families as there's only one bed but it's great for couples.

The hotel is literally next door to the train station. Trains go every 15 minutes and take around 3 minutes.

If you do book the Ibis, the biggest tip I could give you is: when exiting the train, there are two exits to the station at either end of the platform. You need to take the smaller looking exit. This leads directly to the hotel. If you take the other exit (with the ticket window and shop), it's a 5 minute walk and you can get easily lost.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I've stayed at the Ibis too - absolutely fine as a place to sleep and recharge for your next Disney day. The RER is probably quicker than the Disney shuttle buses as well!

As Happy Tappy said - take exit 2 from the RER! We took exit 1 the first time and walked in circles around Val d'europe! :)
