I know it way smaller than MCO but is it easy to be picked up and navigate out of it?

We flew into Sanford last month. We had no problems getting around or finding our way out. We rented a car & they made sure we knew how to get where we were going & provided maps.

Sanford is super easy to navigate around. It is also convenient to SR417 which will bring you right into Disney. It is a toll road and costs about $6.00 form Sanford.

I4 is about 6 miles further down Lake Mary Blvd if you don't want to pay tolls.

We just used the Sanford Airport. We saw almost no traffic by driving on 417. It was well worth the tolls to avoid the problems on I-4.
