sickening. It just gets worst and worst. I just know there are many more young men out there.

MANY more. It's more than sad it's disgusting. And that half smile on that sleazeball.. I'd like to smack it off.

It's so disheartening. The pain he caused so many young boys. He has scared these young men for life. I wish he would own up to what he did, instead of causing more anguish and pain. :(

I read a victim's account stating his wife knew. He told of calling out to her when he was attacked. He even wore a wire and had it on tape that she knew. She sort of skirted around the issue, but she verified his claims, saying something like, "You knew what he was like.". I truly think they should investigate her fully too.

The whole thing is a travesty; the years it went on, the people that knew and did nothing. It's heartbreaking.

I had to quit reading, what a sicko, and people let that monster keep going cause of football

Right? Every time they show his face on the local news, he's always got that sleazy smile. What a horrible, disgusting human being. Not only him, but every PSU employee that knew about his and kept it secret.

same here... I am trying not to pay attention to the trial... but I did pay attention to the graduate assistants testimony...

If i ran into him I would spit in his face... I can not believe that anyone would witness what he did and just try and make noise to get him to stop.... I don't know how he lives with himself!!

... and, of course, they have discovered all kinds of internal e-mails that detail how much everyone @ PSU knew about it.

I'm thinking PSU is in for some HUGE lawsuits.

I can't listen to or read the news stories about this anymore. Literally makes me sick and I can't say what I would like to do to this man. I want to cry when I think of all the lives ruined by him and those who covered it up. May they all rot.

As well they should. They need to go after the perpetrator, his clueless wife, his ignorant staff assistants and anyone else on the paper trail. It's not enough to try to "scare him off." When you know someone is taking advantage of a child it is your duty to call CPS. Not only is it morally required, in this situation is was LEGALLY required and nobody did the right thing. Unfortunately, there is nothing that will erase the memories for these young men. Money will afford them the opportunity to get therapy, but if the staff of PSU had DONE THEIR JOBS therapy wouldn't be needed. Heads need to roll.

I cannot get past how many people didn't follow up. The grad assistant (who was in his late 20's at the time, not a kid) told his father (I believe the father is a physician assistant in a medical practice) and also told a doctor that the father works with. These men both testified that they were told the graphic details. Why didn't they call the police? (Or at least go beat up Sandusky?) They could see nothing was done. Of course the university administrators also should have done something! Any of them could have stopped this.

Also disturbing was one of the victim's testimony that his own family and friends joked about him having an improper relationship with Sandusky. First of all, that's nothing I would ever joke about but it makes me think there could have been signs that people ignored or were in denial about? :confused3

This really reminds me of the Catholic church child abuse scandal in a lot of ways.

I would love to see every person who was part of this locked in a barn and then have the barn set on fire. They are all irredemable pieces of garbage from Sandusky and his wife to anyone who know at that school or charity.

When that evil old coot Paterno kicked the bucket I danced a little jig. I was happier to hear of his death than I was Bin Laden's and I hope to break out the dancing shoes when Sandusky gets a broom handle in prison and McQueary gets a little street justice from someone (fingers crossed).

From what I read McQueary told the proper authorities about the situation. HE did what he had to do. Was he guilty of not following up? Maybe. He thought it was being taken care of. I understand he didn't stop the rape but in all honesty he was probably in shock. I"m not defending him but I'm not going to get high and mighty either. I have been guilty of being in denial about things I have seen.

The only acceptable reaction when he witnessed what he testified that he witnessed was to pull Sandusky off the kid and call 911 right then and there. Walking out of the locker room and leaving that kid with Sandusky, calling his father, and then telling a useless piece of garbage football coach what you witnessed after the fact is not "doing what he had to do".

No human being worthy of life would have walked out of that locker room and left the boy in the shower with his rapist. Full stop.

.

This is what I've been saying since Sandusky was arrested.
A 28 year old MAN saw a child in the shower with Sandusky. He heard what he thought was skin slapping.
What did he do?
HE LEFT!! He left a child alone naked in a shower with Sandusky.

He didn't say a word. He didn't stop anything. He didn't make sure the child was okay. He didn't call 911. He just left that child there.

All of this could have stopped right then if McQueary did the right thing instead of worrying about his job with PSU football.

Agree. Every single word. I stopped reading the Penn State thread because I found my blood pressure going up with the Paterno apologists on there. Everybody involved with this sickening story should face some sort of justice.
