I don't understand what you mean... how is he supposed to run his courtroom without discussing the case?? They bring motions or make petitions or objections or have questions or etc., etc. how is he supposed to respond and explain without discussing the case?

I thought the quoted statements above were made as part of an interview he gave. I meant that a judge shouldn't be giving out interviews during an ongoing case. If that isn't what that statement is from, my bad.

I didn't look too closely or anything - it sounded like a response to a lawyer in court I thought and it read like he was discussing the morning motions or wharever.

His wife should be jailed with him after her statements about the victims yesterday. She's going to have to live with this disgust forEVER.

She's in denial. The only disgust she probably has is for the accusers.

The day my husband admits to the world that he regularly blew raspberries on the stomachs of 11 - 15 y/o boys while naked in the showers, or wrestling around on beds, is the day I would hope I would wake up out of my denial. She disgusts me.

I'd like to know why Matt didn't take the stand? I wish the jury was able to hear this.

From what I recall, Jerry "found" Matt through The Second Mile. Since that is where his other victims originated, it doesn't surprise me.

What do you think is unusual about it? That he would abuse his son, or that his son would accuse him of abusing him? Matt was a foster child who was then adopted (from what I heard on the news)...sounds like the perfect opportunity for sicko Sandusky.

Hello CA people. Following this trial, I don't see how he can't be found guilty, but then again...

And then there are so many counts, he obviously can be found guilty of some and not others. How awful for any of the victims who testified if none of the charges related to him receives a guilty verdict. It's like confirmation that no one believes you.

A-ha. I just assumed adopted son was regular adopted son (I haven't followed the particulars of the case closely at all). Thanks. Yeah, I went looking and found he appears to have only moved in with them as a foster child as a teen and was adopted as an adult, so ... that would not be unusual then. Jesus.

I originally thought it was a regular son who happened to be adopted, like his son from birth or close and in that situation it'd be highly unusual for him to have abused him as well, yes.

Generally incest abusers don't cross. They almost never pose a danger to outsiders; there are a lot of differences between incest offenders and other types of child molesters.

From what I know of the case, Sandusky appears to be pretty classic for what he is, and incest would be a very weird component. However, given the story behind the adoption, it fits neatly.
