I am not talking about flip flops. I need some anyways for now to fall that will do well for lots of walking, rain or shine. I am looking at those Teva Barracuda kind but not sure what to get. The girls usually wear converse, flip flops, or not for long term walking kind of strappy sandals. I heard the crocs are nice too. Like the Adrina style.

The 9yrs old will need something great for walking. The 4rs old can not be so much. She'll be pushed about in a stroller most of the time.

Thanks!!

I can only comment on girls. My DD loves her maryjane crocs never had a blister or tired feet and her saltwater sandals. ( Amazon has the best price). My husband wears the sketchers sandals and loves them and I know they make boys too. They are similar to the Teva. I hope that helps.

My 3 and 4 year old boys wore crocs last year and did great! They spent most of the time in the stroller, but they were fast to get on and off, especially to dry off after wet rides. I also love shoes that they can put on themselves!

I think we will try something like the Keen Sandals this year because they seem a bit more comfortable and might stay on their feet better if they are running :)

I looked at the kerns but seems bulky. Not sure if the girls would like them. The little one does need something that will stay on. She sits done well but live the occasional run :)

If you think that Keens are too bulky, then I would go with Tevas. I prefer the toe protection that Keens offer for my kids, but they are kinda accident prone. Tevas are what I wear and what I am looking at getting my DD.

I don't go for specific brands; I look for toe protection, flexibility (how bendable the sole is) and general construction (no rough edges to rub sensitive skin, no evidence of cheap manufacture). I like to watch the videos on Zappos because if the shoes/sandals are flexible, they will flex them in the video to prove it. But, I always take him with to actually BUY the sandals, because ultimately, they need to be comfortable on his specific feet.

My DS8 lives in Keens from May-October here. We also take them on every Disney trip. It takes a week or two to break them in, but they are perfect after that.

We buy Keens or similar closed toe sandal with support. We have two boys. Our school, and any camp they have been to, have required a closed toe shoe.

This is probably not a quick drying option, right? http://www.6pm.com/keen-kids-breezemont-cnx-toddler-little-kid-brindle-ceramic I need something more sandal looking I think?

Something like this is better for us if possible. More use. The girls wear Mary-Jane black shoes for school. Sandals are only good for dry warm days. Although I have a few friends who continue until September. The rest of the time it's converse, ugg-style boots and wellies. It's not that warm in England, especially when raining :)

I just bought both my kids' Tevas for our trip. DS has the standard Teva sandal but my daughter didnt like how bulky they felt on her feet. I like how supportive and flexible Teva soles are so after some research I found her a pair of Teva Zirras. They have the same high quality sole but much thinner and lighter straps. We havent used them yet for day tripping but my husband has flat feet and swears by his Tevas. Honestly, DD and I always wear flip flops on our Disney trips but then again she hasn't been doing that much walking in previous trips (occasional to frequent stroller use) and I have some Teva Mush flip flops that I find extremely comfortable. DD and I can't stand wearing sneakers in hot weather so a comfortable sandal is a MUST!

Bernie Mevs. DD does the kids version and I do the adult. I've worn them our last couple of WDW and DL trips and my feet aren't even tired at the end of the day. I'm not really a sneaker or athletic looking sandal person, so I love that these have a little more style and come in lots of colors. DD loves the silver. You need to wear them once for a few hours before spending all day with them at WDW, because they need to stretch and conform to your foot. After 2 or 3 hours in them on the first day, when you put them on for an open to close day at Disney, you will be ready to go! DD loves wearing hers at home too, and when she does we often have her friends' parents and even strangers stop us and ask what brand they are and where we got them. When I wear my silver ones (I've got them in several colors and both open and closed toe styles), I've been stopped by strangers and asked about them too.

both my boys like the keen closed toe sandals. Very comfy and can also get wet

My boys (3 and 5) like the Cali Gear sandals made by sketchers. http://www.famousfootwear.com/en-US..._Camo/Kids+Koolers+Pre_Grade.aspx?store=01694 I tend to buy from Famous Footwear when I can because I get an employee discount through my mom there, which is nice.

I won't say they are the best out there but I have a lot of trouble finding sandals that will fit their wide feet and large ankles. My hubby wears a size 16 so I know finding shoes for them is only going to get more difficult.

The plastic characters do pop off pretty easily if your kids are rough with their shoes. Sometimes my boys get blisters and I just let them wear socks with them. Certainly not a really fashionable look, but if it makes their feet happy then I can live with it! :upsidedow The up side is they are pretty cheap and if your kids like them you can get an extra pair without breaking the bank. They are all rubberized so just rinse and go!

For closed toed shoes all 3 of my kids love Keens...waterproof and dry fast. For a sandal they love the Chacos...pricey...but we bought their first pairs, sell them on ebay and buy them new ones. Can't destroy these sandals, no matter how much they wear them, they are still in good shape by the end of summer. DH and I wear them too.

My girls (12 and 9) used to wear Crocs in the parks exclusively. I was a little concerned about how slippery they were on wet pavement, though. For our April trip, we bought the older one Sketchers go walks and the younger one Keen's sandals. Both girls wanted to wear them with low socks all week which surprised me. They both worked out great!

I've done both teva hurricanes and psyclones with great success for my little guy. I wear tevas regularly as well. I tried keens, and my feet hated them. This was quite some time ago, but my feet reacted badly. Besides making my feet red and achy, I found them heavy. I really wanted to like them too.

Well, dd1 wasn't too crazy about the Keens. As I suspected, it's too bulky. So we may go for the Teva Zirra/Tirra. I may get a pair myself too ;) Dd2 loves the Pediped look. She also like the Nike water sandals but I don't think you can do anything else with them besides the pool, water park or beach.

So many options and really appreciate the help!!

I loved my girls' Keens, but we've also toured the parks in Crocs, Timberland kids sandals, Pediped Flex sandals, and Lelli Kelly sandals.
