Sanaa

I have ordered the kid size butter chicken often. As an adult you do not get the drink for the price but the chicken, rice and green beans was plenty especially after the bread service for the table. The staff are all amazing. Only complaint is that there is always a wait to be seated even with a reservation. But we go onto the Savana while waiting.

This is good to know! I really want the samosas for an appetizer along with the bread service, so the kids portion of butter chicken will be perfect.

We eat at Sanaa almost every trip. Yes, to the bread service, but...I have found, often times, I'm no longer hungry! They also have a nice little steak and potato and we've had the bread service and split a steak, if we didn't want the sustainable fish special, which is always excellent!

Their Chai tea is service is some of the very best chai tea I've ever had. They bring it out in a french press type pitcher, with tiny jars of honey. Also, the Kheer dessert of rice pudding with coconut milk, cardamom and fruit/nuts is outstanding. I make it at home now all because of Sanaa.

Yes the Bread service was great !!! I got the buttered chicken and it was fantastic !!!

We are staying at Jambo House 3/21-3/26 and have not had success in booking a reservation for Sanaa. I will continue to check everyday.

Has anyone ordered the "to go" menu recently and if so, are they able to give you the DVC, AP, or TIW discount on the to go orders?

We are going for lunch next trip - 2 mango lasses and splitting the bread service. The mango lasse ($6) is a mango yogurt drink and it is lovely. Teen daughter cannot wait to have it again.

Is anyone having trouble with Sanaa reservations as of late? I’m trying to get a ressie for 2 for the end of April and the only available time i could snag was 8pm for 3ppl?! I was surprised how difficult it was to get the reservation here.

It’s not just Sanaa, reservations in general are tough to get right now with fewer restaurants open and limited seating capacity.

Yeahh - i’d say it’s that, but i was able to snag ressies for Homecomin’ and Topolino’s Terrace breakfast (which i thought were higher demand than Sanaa)

Could you share the recipe for the Kheer? I would love to make it this weekend. Missing it terribly.

I got Chef Mickeys, Sci Fi, BOG and Cinderella's Royal Table.....but Sanaa was the most difficult to get for my May trip (got it, but took a later time than I wanted).

Exact same situation!!
With dining options at both AKL buildings so limited I definitely think Sanaa is harder to get than it used to be. Would suggest checking after they extend hours—might be people drop reservations when they see AK won’t be closing at 5 and they can eat dinner at the park instead of a nearby resort.

It just seems VERY odd that it's more difficult than those typical hard-to-get ADR's that are in the parks, makes me think something isn't right, maybe some days/times blocked? Just doesn't make sense that ressies were so slim at 60 days out at 6am, for Sanaa. I expect that from others!

We ate at Sanaa March 1. Many tables have been removed to allow parties to be distant from each other. I’d estimate that capacity is half or even less than half of normal. DH and I were at a 6-top by ourselves, and most tables were 6-tops.

Not so odd—with early park close times that far out, there simply aren’t a lot of options for dinner on MK/AK days until they extend hours except at resorts or disney springs. Also days where people don’t have a park ticket.

Edited to add, plus Sanaa is more reasonably priced that some of the resort restaurants open now like Narcoosees or Cali Grill. Beaches and Cream is one of the hardest to get restaurants currently for the same reasons

So what you’re saying is...... try for a 6person reservation? 🤣
