It is located at the Animal Kingdom Villas (Kidani Village). This is not the same building as the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House) where Boma and Jiko are located.
Yes, you can see animals from the restaurant at Sanaa. However, the viewing is best during daylight hours. I wouldn't recommend it after dark if the major reason you choose it is to see animals while dining.
You get a good view of the savanna especially from the tables by the window but we never had really great animal viewing at Sanaa. Probably just luck of the draw, there weren't many wandering by when we happened to be there. We love the food though!
Definitely luck of the draw. Had a close up encounter with giraffes on one visit; in October my friend and I were treated to a dance exhibition by Wilbur the crowned crane. You never know what the critters will do.
We love Sanaa! We've always had amazing animal views as well....lots of up close viewing, animals putting on a show for us, lol. Far better than we've ever seen just hanging out at the main lodge savanna.
I do have to admit we always have a window table at Sanaa so I don't know if others can see as well or not.
We love the food there, so would go for that alone though.
LOVE this restaurant. Gets my vote as one of the best-kept secrets at WDW. This was my favorite meal and can't wait to eat there again.
We were there in Dec. at noon, near (but not at) the windows. We saw giraffes, zebra, ostrich, cranes, and I think wildebeest. Caretakers would periodically come out with food to attract different animals.
