Sanaa or Edison

I know the menus are so different, but this would be for a girl night out. We will definitely "end" the night in the Disney Springs area since we are staying within walking distance to DS. So not sure if we should just stick with DS all night? Or have dinner at a resort and head back to DS for the evening. Any opinions appreciated!

I say try a restaurant at a resort (Sanaa is fantastic), to break up the evening a bit. Boma is also a great option at AKL.

Really enjoyed Sanaa and I love AKL. Enjoy walking around and watching the Savanna.
Have tried the Edison yet, its on our list.
Unless you have a car, there is no direct resort to resort bus service. If you will be at DS, then there is a bus to AKL.
Time wise, I'm not sure I would spend the time to get to AKL and travel back to DS. that could easily be 45 minutes each way depending on how you time the buses.
I would vote to stay at DS and just enjoy it. There is so much to do there. Great entertainment, stores and bars besides the food.

It's possible we might have a car. Just deciding if it's worth the $10 to park it at our hotel (a friend is meeting me from her resort stay with her family for one might). We are up for Ubering too. Just trying to pick the "best" place that we can enjoy in Disney, without the kids. But also a menu/setting that is unique.

If you are looking for a unique menu, depending on cost, I would do Jiko over Sanaa. Sanaa is Indian inspired and very good. Jiko is just an entirely different level of food and service and more African inspired.

I love Sanaa but for a girls night I would defiantly go with Edison! The entertainment is fantastic and the food is very good.

As much as I enjoy Sanaa, I'd go with the Edison just to save time traveling back and forth. That time could much better be spent drinking. . .oh, and eating. :rolleyes1

That's a tough choice! You could do dinner at Sanaa and drinks at The Edison.

I’m with Sleepydog, once you’re fat and happy from Sanaa, you won’t want the drive and walk around DS. What we do is head straight to DS, have cocktails and apps at a new venue like Wine Bar George and/or Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar (next I have my eye on a Cool Headed Monkey) and then head to the Edison for a late ADR! Or do the Edison and then do the bars after, some have entertainment and are open till 2am. We have resv. at the Edison in Aug with this plan in mind.

Sanaa is good... but nothing you can't get at your local Indian restaurant. I'm not sure it's worth the transportation headache for a group.

I think it's much easier - and more unique, really - to head to DS instead. I agree with the pp about stopping by one place in DS for drinks and appetizers and then onto Edison for dinner and entertainment. We really liked Jock Lindsey's for a pre-dinner snack & drink and the interior is really fun.
