How long would it take to get to Sanaa from AK? We wanted to do a Sanaa lunch on our AK day but is that feasible?

I have done lunch at Sanaa on AK day and it worked out great! I think our reservation was probably around 1 or 1:30. We left AK about 45 minutes prior and took the bus over to AKL and had plenty of time. Lunch was delicious and I would definitely do this again. After lunch we looked around the grounds a bit and headed back to AK. Everything worked out really nicely!

I'm considering this too although we wouldn't have to necessarily go back to AK at night either. I have been to Sanaa before but only after dark, I'd love to do lunch and see the animals.

It shouldn't take long, but of course you are at the whim of the busses. Because AKL is so close getting a bus shouldn't be an issue, but if you are concerned about time you may just want to take an uber.

Its a short bus ride to AKL. Its very doable and Sanaa is a really good restaurant.
It all depends on how long you have to wait for a bus.

The AKL to AK bus runs every 5-7 minutes. I didn't believe it when the concierge told me so I timed it - should have trusted! :)
We rode over a couple of weeks back just to take a break from the heat. Spent some time on the overlook, relaxed in the lobby while the kids poked around. It ws AC heaven!!

We do this but we switched to dinner now that AK is open later. It's no big deal. It's right next door. Too bad we can't walk it.

We went to Sanaa for lunch on our AK day on our last trip. We were at the bus stop an hour before our reservation. We got to the restaurant to check in about 25 - 30 minutes prior to the actual reservation time. This worked out because there is a great viewing spot for the animals close the restaurant so we had time to relax and watch the animals. After a pretty leisurely lunch, we headed back to the park. All in all, we were out of the park for about two and half hours. For us, it was a good break. Animal Kingdom can be a hot park, it feels like there is less shade than some of the others. So we appreciated the time to rest.

Side note, I highly recommend the bread service with the accompaniments! It is really amazing!!

We went for lunch last September.

We used it as our midday break. We walked around the resort, a little, checked out the savanna and had a late lunch. Then went back to AK for evening activities.

It worked out fine.

We always wanted to try the bread service, so we are really excited! Most of these flavors will be new to us but they sound amazing. The tandoori chicken sounds like a safe dish for the picky eaters in our party.
