We love Boma for both breakfast and dinner, but I've been seeing good reviews of Sanaa so I made a ressie. Should I still do Boma too, or are they too similar? Tell me the difference of the two please!

The are different, and both are great. Sanaa has more of an Indian focus, and is a sit down TS dinner as opposed to a buffett. I'd keep both. They are two of my favourites.

Definitely keep both ressies. Boma & Sanaa are completely different eating experiences. Food & atmosphere are very different. Boma is probably more kid friendly . . . its a buffet so many, many more choices for picky eaters who are willing to try a little something outside of their comfort range but still want a good choice of North American staples. Sanaa has a slightly more upscale vibe with its decor, superior service and some window tables to view animals. There is no guarantee that you actually will get a window seat (parties of 2 or less will not as the tables are 4 top plus. My experience is that the hostess will refuse to seat less than 3 at the window). If your Sanaa ressie is for after dusk, you may see little anyway as the interior lights reflect in the windows. I would make the food . . . not the animals . . . my focus for dining at Sanaa to avoid disappointment. Check out the online menus and see if it appeals. For animals, show up at both Sanaa and Boma at least a half hour earlier than your reservation to go out back to see the animals from the viewing areas. NB In the hallway outside Sanaa there is a fun view through the glass of tortoise "nests" . . . I almost want to say "lairs" :-). This is a great little highlight of any visit. You need to have sharp eyes!

I agree, keep both. They are both very different experiences and both are great. In fact, I would even add Jiko to your list. :thumbsup2 And yes, we have done all 3 in one trip.

Make sure you go with the bread service at Sanaa.

agree they are different enough to do both. We find Boma a nice buffet with "tastes of Africa"- i.e. slightly spiced versions of american food, or tame versions of local....Sanaa is more indian themed but very nice meal. And yes- do the bread service, at least one tandor meal and one "simmered in gravy" dish and share
