need some simple help..
anyone here from of know San Diego well...

I am thinking of taking the kids from the 21-23rd to san diego to just go to the beach for all day saturday... looking for a nice place to stay for 5 but not over priced.....

What do you consider over-priced?

We stayed at the Grande Colonial in La Jolla - it was pricey, but it was beautiful, roomy, and 1 block from the cove.

The Glorietta Bay Inn is right across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado, which is just steps from the beach:

Use "Google Maps" to get an idea of how close the hotel is to the beach.

While the mansion rooms are more for couples, the Contemporary rooms might be something you'd be interested in. They have good internet specials going on, with prices ranging from $159-195/night.

When we go to San Diego we usually stay at Catameran resort and Spa it is close to the beach ,has beautiful grounds, last time we were there they offerd a free evening cruise around the bay ,they also have a free arcade which our kids loved.
We were pleasntly surprised when we booked our room for early Nov. and it was only $135 a night we just got a standard garden view but i find the price more than worth it
