I've sent her an email, but she hasn't been able to respond yet.

(just a guess)

I had the "fortune" to be at a business meeting in San Antonio in 1998(?) when you guys had rain of biblical propotion. If I'm not mistaken it was something like 20 inches in a day and a half. We were on the River Walk, and the only thing that kept the downtown area "dry" was they opened the diversion tunnels that allowed water to bypass the downtown area. The city was a mess!I live in San Antonio and we do get weather from storms that are hitting the coast but it is mostly the feeder bands....Flooding is a problem in the streets but she should be safe if she stays on Post during the storm.

Anytime it rains in San Antonio it is prudent to stay away from low water crossings and not chance it....People are swepts away every year because of their own stupidity trying to cross over water in their cars....
San Antonio has the worst drainage system....It floods with even the slightest rain. I think we are far enough inland to avoid the real damage that the hurricane can cause.
