I just talked with Disney Dining and the San Angel Inn renovation has been postponed!

That's too bad. Would have been nice to see them renovate the menu, the cooking, and the service. Oh - those were going to be physical rennovations? Those can be postponed - it is the food that is the real problem here.

Did they tell you when the postponed rennovations would be?? We are hoping to eat there for the first time in Dec!

I dont care about the restaurant I just want to be able to get into the pavillion for the ride, I have to do it atleast twice on every trip, just for sentimental reasons even tho they changed it!

well dang it...we wanted to go there in May & they wouldn't book it because of the close-for-renovations excuse. Now DD has her heart set on Les Chefs instead so I suppose by the time we get to WDW again they will close it for reno.

And me, in Nov!! ;) It's so pretty in there, I just HAVE to eat there, even if the food is as bad as lots of DISers seem to think!

Interesting... I was able to book it w. no problem for dinner on our may trip (6:15 on 5/28) but for lunch on 7/5 the CM couldn't get it to work at any time (said her notes referenced a "partial rehab")

We wanted to try San Angel this trip but couldn't make the ADR due to the renovation. We may have to try again.

I called this morning and got a May 20 ADR, had my choice of times.

that happened to my husband and I as well. He actually sat down and chose two places he would like to eat on our anniversary trip 6/3-6/7. I am the Disney freak in the house and he just goes along with it for me. He wanted to eat in Mexico-this was his one request, so when I called, they told me I couldnt schedule due to the renovation. We booked Teppen edo instead-which I am happy with as the food was great, but now I feel a bit guilty if I dont try and change the ressie to his first choice--although he would probably never know:lovestruc

I swear I could have written this! We are going the same dates, DH wanted Mexico for dinner but it was closed so we decided on Flying Fish instead! Now I am going to cancel FF and try and get into SAI because with our luck SAI will be closed in Oct when we are supposed to go!
