San Angel - getting more popular?

I've been trying to get a decent dinner ADR time for my trip next month. I have various alerts stalking for me as well. I find it so interesting that it has been hard to get something in the 5-7:45 PM time there as I have never had a difficulty with San Angel. This was difficult at even the 60+ timeframe. Plus, when I look at availability for tonight and the next few nights, I see nothing.

We have always enjoyed SA, but I know it has had its share of critics. Did something change and suddenly it's a popular place? I've been able to score a Cake Bake ADR...but not the time I want for SA!

They revamped the seating area last year to make it feel less cramped and more spacious. But that probably means fewer tables, so less availability.

I suspect it has more to do with that just being a very busy time to visit Disney. Look for your alerts to start hitting anywhere from a couple days out to day of.

When we went over the holidays, I wasn't able to secure a reservation ahead of time, but things opened up the day before/day of as people changed their plans/cancelled. Keep trying because I bet things open up as it gets closer.

Really? This makes sense as I have been there many times during the busy season and still no prob booking way out.

I am sure I will pick up something when it gets closer, but I wondered if there was also a reason behind what I was experiencing. Thanks for your feedback.
