I am considering joining Sam's Club to purchase formula for my baby. I can see from their website that they do not accept coupons. :sad2: Does anyone know from experience if they accept Similac Rebate Checks?

Sorry they do not. I used to work there no coupons/rebates accepted. I buy formula there too.

If you join the premium members it's $40 extra. Then you get coupons every month. You also get to shop before 10a. I have not yet done this. But supposedly the coupons are based on what you buy. In midsummer they ran a promotion and gave coupons to non premium members. We used them, I saved $6 on box of huggies. $2 on a box of wipes. And I used a few others as well. They were all at least $2 off coupons. I didn't notice any for formula, but I don't use it.

I would suggest stopping in to your Sam's club because in my experience they do accept the Similac CHECKS (they look like a coupon but are actually run as a check). For all 3 of our kids I used the checks regularly at Sam's and only issue I ever had was quickly resolved by pointing out it is a check.

My experience is quite dated (my "baby" turns 7 next month!) but my Sam's Club did accept the Similac checks. I used them in 2003 with my first baby and again in 2005 with my second child. Some of the employees weren't sure how to process them, but the managers knew so I was able to use them every time.

I would also recommend you stop in and ask.

If they DON'T, the generic brand of formula is an AWESOME deal (and great for baby). We used their "gentle" formula for our son who couldn't handle ANY regular formulas. It was about $22 for a can, and it was almost DOUBLE the size of the cans of generics in regular stores -- and about half the price. You'll pay for your membership in about a month just on formula and diapers!! Plus, the formula is GREAT (since it's all about what's best for baby anyway).

Our daughter's pediatrician actually recommended using the store brands when we switched to formula. It was less than half the price of the name brands!

I love Sam's Club ! I don't need coupons anymore, most of the items there are about the same price as I could get with coupons+ sale price ! It's true that I don't buy processed foods, but the savings on coffee alone are worth the 40$ fee, IMHO !

Do you have a bj's club near you? they take coupons and have cheap formula also

My baby just turn 1 in May so we are off formula now but my Sams Club here in Michigan did accept the Similac Checks, but only the ones with my name on them. They are processed as a check not a coupon/rebate. They wouldn't accept the ones that I got from my breast feeding friends. I would check with your local Sams Club to make sure though.

My son does great with Similac. When we tried a sample of Enfamil, he's tummy did not like it one bit. Because of that, I'm nervous to try anything other than Similac.

I do but according to their website, they don't sell Similac formula.

They did in 2010 with my child. Might be worth checking out and stopping in.

Sams is a good savings for some stuff but be sure to do your homework. There are some things that I buy on a regular basis that, when on sale and I have coupons, I can get for a LOT cheaper elsewhere. I know a lot of people join Sams to avoid having to ad search and coupon clip, but just sayin'...more Disney Dough! :thumbsup2

I currently work at Sam's Club, in the Cash Office. I process formula checks everyday. We carry Similac and Gerber formula in our club. We accept 1 check per can.

Just an FYI. Costco also accepts the formula checks. I was in line today behind a man with twins. He had a LOT of formula and used a couple checks. It took a few minutes for him to check out, and I got to oogle his twins while I waited. They were killer cute.
