I think I read here that Sam's will give you a price adjustment. Their toys always go way down in price right after C-mas. So long as I have my receipt this should work correct? Is their a back date limit ~ say I buy something next week would I still be able to get the adjustment late December? I'm guessing the item still needs to be in stock ~ once it's gone no adjustments.

I would think you'd have a lot better luck buying the sale price one (if it still there) and then returning the full price one (with receipt as long as you are still within the normal return time).

I would not ask for a price adjustment for something that is sold out.

Most stores have a time period when they will do price adjustments. Like at the Gap, if something you purchase goes down in price over the next 2 weeks, they'll refund you the difference. After that, you're out of luck. I really doubt they would do a price adjustment two months later.

My Sam's does adjustments for 30 days....I know because I walked in with a receipt on the 31st day..

After Christmas is clearance time and stores do not price adjust on clearance items.

The Sam's club by me will price adjust over 30 days even on xmas items. In fact the lady that checks at the door will even tell us to hold onto our receipt that item will be marked down shortly. I have had them tell me that they need to have 4 or more items in stock to do a price adjustment which seems fair to me. I have adjusted items there many times. I think that is what is so great about your membership the hassle free returns and price adjustments. 2 years ago my parents bought my kids a $400 air hockey table for christmas, after christmas it was down to $200, they were able to price adjust for $200. It never hurts to try all they can say is no.

I worked for Sams and believe me, they'll do just about whatever you ask for. I remember when I got the job they told me they do NOT have a employee discount because they don't make money off their merchandise, only on their membership and credit cards.

The return things that even the law is against returning. All you have to do is ask.

The things I've seen returned:

Worn underwear :scared1:
Empty containers returned for double the price due to their double back freshness guarantee:scared1:
Wine half empty
Cigarettes :confused3
Large screen TVs returned after the Superbowl
Even Dvds with movie tickets in them returned without the tickets for full price :confused3

The most amazing are the computers. When I was there they would replace any computer after 6 months. We had people downloading all their files at the service desk, hand over their receipt and receive a brand new computer! :scared1:
