My FDH and I are about a year and a half out from the wedding and want to start bugeting soon. I have looked high and low for a sample BEO and haven't really found anything. If someone doen't mind sharing, I was looking for maybe a copy of a BEO or even an idea on how to budget. We are looking at having 40-50 guests and the actual day will be on a Monday so 10k min. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I know in some PJ's you can find BEO info. That might take awhile to search through. You could also do the Wish Book on the DFTW website.

We will also have our event(Vow Renewal) on a Monday with 40-50 guests. From my calculations, I am way over the $10,000 min. I'm not even having a Dessert Party! I am guestamating about $125pp for food. We are having the ceremony at the WP, cocktail hour and reception at the White Hall Room/Patio, and Cindy's carriage. Very minimal floral, string quartet and I am at around $14,000.

We're having 45 guests (39 adults, 1 teen, 4 kids, 1 infant) and a Monday wedding. We went more minimalistic with the decor and perhaps a bit overboard on the food. The prices include sales tax and service charges.

ipod setup=316.25
Ceremony location (whitehall patio)=900
Reception location (whitehall room)=639
Floral/decor =1630.52 (this includes favors for adults and chocolate pops + activity books for the kids)
Motorcoach=683.55
Full signature bar = 2730.01
8 bottles of specialty wine=737.11
Merryweather cocktail hour + cheese display=2835.03
Dinner (salmon, beef/lobster, children's option)=4608.21
TOTAL=15079.68

We're also having a welcome dinner at the California Grill with an open bar package, decor (centerpieces), and a dinner catering menu option which adds in 7655.33 (which DOES not count towards the minimum as its on a separate day).

We easily could have cut things to bring us closer to 10K monday minimum: the specialty wine, the cocktail hour with cheese (which seems excessive and decadent but delightful), and the favors.

Overall we are THRILLED at what we are feeding our guests: we taste tested everything and it was absolutely spectactular!!

Hope that helps!

Here is my BEO. This is one of my old ones as I have added more things since this was done. Its a bit more now. :rotfl:

I know this seems like a lot for just 33 guests, especially when two are babies and there are also some children in there but I got pretty much everything I could have wanted so to me, its worth the money.

This of course does not include my dress, shoes, tiara, veil, bridal tea party at GF, favors

Anyone got one for an Escape wedding?

No problem! When I get my new and final one I will be sure to post that also! :thumbsup2

Thank you guys soo much! You have been a very big help. I have a feeling it's the little things that are gunna add up.

My FDH and I are about a year and a half out from the wedding and want to start bugeting soon. ...We are looking at having 40-50 guests and the actual day will be on a Monday so 10k min.

Just wanted to be sure you knew that the lowest minimum has gone up to $12,000 for events that sign contracts after, oh, I think it was October 08.

Also, if you search for "BEO" on the boards, you will turn up a couple other threads people have started that list a bunch of BEO breakdowns.

Anyone know for an escape wedding...Do we pay for tables, chairs, linens etc for Commanders Terrace?

No. Those are all included in the package price. The only extra thing you have to pay for is more than 1 bottle of Cuvee or 2 bottles of cider. :thumbsup2

Its absolutely the little things that will add up. The best budgeting tip I can give is to try to get crafty..make some stuff yourself...and be REALISTIC about what you need vs. what you won't. During the planning stages every little ribbon and rose seems neccessary, but as a very recent bride (just 4 days ago) I can honestly say I do not regret not having huge centerpieces, or tons of ceremony decor. We got rid of our DJ in favor of an iPod setup and walked away without a single regret over the price. During your wedding day you will barely even notice all the 'little things'. The biggest memories for us right now are Mickey & Minnie at the reception and the food. We had NO cocktail hour, NO DJ, NO bar/soda packages (water, tea, & coffee only), and NO cinderella coach/transportation. (Ok..DF did suprise me with a limo ride from the reception back to our resort..but that was it lol). And not a single guest complained or said 'hey! where's the soda/beer??'. It was beautiful, we had everything we truly wanted, and didnt waste money on things we wouldn't remember. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much. I am crafty and a minimalist by nature so what you said will really help me keep to the big point. I am making all of our table decor myself and flowers will be at a minimun. FDH and I decided that no one will remember the roses anyway. :) You guys are a great help. Thanks so much! :lovestruc

I had an escape wedding at SBP Dec 5 2008. I had a private dinner I booked at V&A in the private room for our guests after, but that is not refelcted below. Keep in mind this is the BEo for Disney but like some other people mention above there are lots of other costs not associated with Disney or this BEO (rings, HM, dress, suit, license etc)

Total $4559
base- 4k
addl floral was minimal - $223
upgraded boutteniere, flowers for my hair, FG basket and petals, boutteniere for my dad, memorial rose to remember my mom
addl champagne and cider - $306

Everyone knew we were doing what I jokingly referred to a the "cheap Disney wedding" and on several occasions the guests mentioned that not a single thing felt second rate and the ceremony was nicer than most other weddings they had been to which made me feel good.

Our big splurge was the V&A dinner and it was important to us that we had really nice wedding bands since we will have those on our hands forever.

Meg gave some really good advice. Understand what you need vs what you really want. This is ONE day and it is the marriage NOT the wedding that truly matters :goodvibes

I had totally forgot that the min went up to $12,000. Oh well, I guess I get to add a few little extras in. Thanks for the reminder. ;)

Blonde question here......

What does BEO stand for??

(Sorry!!)

Where's Commander's Terrace? :confused3

It is on the Fourth Floor of the Grand Floridian, overlooking the GF theme pool/beach area.
