When you return to Disney World do you go back to the same resort or do you move around each time to experience new ones?
Also what was your most favorite?:D

Well I keep trying to experiance new ones but I get vetoed my the DH and DD. I do love the polynesian though and do happily go back yr after yr. As anyone can guess our favorite is the Polynesian!

I am starting to look at it this way though, when my DD is older with a family of her own she will feel like she is coming home when she visits the Polynesian . She will have some great memories. I can just hear her telling her kids about her trips there as a child. And I will hear them live for grandma will be there right along with them!;)

I like to move around.. so far have tried HIFS, ASMO & SP, CBR , AKL , OKW , and soon the Swan & DTD Hilton .. ( some are not Disney but .. ) I like to do Split stays - two or more hotels per visit. Then I know which one i really like and have others to compare to .. Michelle

So far, we have tried new resorts, and enjoyed them all. But...after staying at the YC last fall, I will have to stay there next trip! It's definately my favorite :D :D !

When we start planning a WDW visit, we always say that we want to move around - to try something new. But after a process of elimination (we're empty-nesters, so AS don't appeal to us, AKL is so far away, etc.) we end up at one of the places we've been before.
Since we do the same thing when we go to Las Vegas (which has even MORE choices:cool: ) we think that we just place a higher value on the comfort of the known.
We know that no on-site resort will be terrible, and we realize that we rule out some great places, but there's something about 'coming home' that does it for us.

WE are moving around to get a different feel. Also we can't afford our favorite everytime.

We Love AKL.:bounce:

Move around. So far have tried POFQ, ASM, CBR and this August WL

This is something we struggle with, as we tend to get stuck on a resort. For awhile we were stuck on CBR. Then, we tried CSR and got stuck on that. Next, we moved on to the Contemporary, but we didn't get stuck on it...liked it but not enough to repeat a visit.

Then, it happened. We tried the Beach Club. Stormalong Bay. The Boarwalk area. Fell in love with it. The only thing different we would do is Yacht Club, which is the same thing really.

Last year, we vowed to try something different so we booked the Grand Floridian. After one night, and getting up to go to the pool and seeing that pool vs. Stormalong Bay, we switched back to the Beach Club. The Grand was nice, but we couldn't pull ourselves away from our old fave.

We're leaving in 8 days and we've booked Wilderness Lodge. I am determined to give it more than 1 night.

I'd love to stay at all of the resorts but I know that would take forever because we keep repeating our faves. Who knows, after this trip maybe we'll have a new fave.

WL here I come!

we like to try different ones. our goal is to stay at every disney resort. :teeth: we do have our favorites though, and we've stayed at some of them several times.

so far we've stayed at BC, PO-RS, PO-FQ, CSR, ASMu, and we will be staying at CBR in August. :)

Both. :)

We've stayed at ASMu (2x), CBR, WL (2x), AKL (2x), Poly and upcoming BWI and GF.

I took each of my kids back to WDW for "alone" trips and had intended to stay at POFQ in Dec 2001 and PopC in 2002, but were booted out of each of those, so chose to make new reservations at the kid's favorites (DS chose WL and DD chose AKL). Then I took a friend to WDW last summer and we stayed at ASMu again.

We also tend to choose to stay at two resorts for a trip that is 6 days or more.

So far it's a toss up between AKL and WL for me. -HM

Over 9 trips onsite we have stayed at
AS Music 1X
CBR 1X
POR (Dixie Landings at the time) 3X
POF 1X
CSR 2X
Poly 1X
Swan 1X
BC 1X
2 of the trips were split between resorts.
Most of the time I have help deciding which resort we want to stay at based on the discounts available at the time. We have tried to go to AS Movies twice and both times ended up upgrading to CSR for less money or only a little more.
CSR and POF are probably my favorite Moderates
Beach Club was my favorite Deluxe
I am hoping to get a split stay 3 nights at AKL (DDs' choice)
and 8 nights at BCV for our next stay, but that is totally dependent on the discounts available at the time.
Just noticed I forgot that we stayed at the Fort wilderness Trailer (now cabins) also, must have split 3 trips not two

We have been all over and I have yet to pick a hands-down favorite. We have been to Ft. Wilderness cabins, Polynesian, Coronado, Carribean Beach, Riverside, Old Key West and Beach Club Villas. Having DVC now is great as it allows visits to resorts I couldn't otherwise afford... In a few weeks we are headed to Wilderness Lodge and I can't wait. They all have some GREAT things about them -- the view at the Poly, SAB at Beach Club, the huge pool at Coronado. I hope I live long enough -- and convince dh to come to Florida enough -- that I get to try them all!

We like to try a new resort each trip. So far we've stayed at ASp(2x), ASMu, POFQ, ASMo, WL, AKL, POR & CR. Next up is the Yacht Club!!

I've also stayed at the Polynesian but that was as a child, a long time ago. lol

My favorite so far....it's a toss up between the WL and AKL.

So far, we've stayed at a different resort each time. It hasn't been because we chose to specifically, it's just that the deciding factors were different each time. We would be more than happy to go back to either of the resorts we've stayed at in the past, even though we're trying a new one this time.

For our first trip we stayed at the Dolphin because I found out about the nurses discount and it seemed to be the best deal available at that time. We loved the Dolphin. Because it was the first WDW resort we ever stayed in, it will always have a special place in our hearts. I'm sure we'll be going back there again some day.

For our second trip, we stayed at Wilderness Lodge because there were some wonderful codes available that beat out my nurses discount at the Dolphin. We went in December, and I can't imagine a more perfect resort for the holidays. If we ever get to go back in December, I want to stay at Wilderness Lodge again!

This time, we are staying at CSR. We're on a tighter budget for this trip, and there were some nice codes for the moderates for June. It will just be DH and me (no kids along this time!) and we've always liked the look of CSR, so we thought this would be a good time to give it a try.
