Hey all...4 days to go before 11 days at WDW.. We were new to whole ADR stuff so werent able to capitalize on it... However my question is what is the probability and/or your success with same day ressie's... at the parks themselves? I am hoping for coral reef or cinderella by some stretch of the imagination!!!:scared1:

Not sure how that would work during free dining but we have done it in the past. As long as you're flexible with your dining time you should be able to get into some good places. Don't know about Coral Reef and Cinderella's Royal Table though. Good luck!

We have had luck on the last several trips getting same-day ADRs and day before ADRs. I think if you're flexible with your times and locations you'll have a better shot. During free dining in 2007 we were able to get a lunch ADR at Chef Mickey's just one day in advance. It was the last seating of lunch but that was fine by us. Good luck:goodvibes.

You may have a hard time getting reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, but if you really want to eat with Cinderella, try for Cinderella's dinner at the Grand Floridian. FYI, if you call for same-day reservations while in the parks, the earliest reservation that can be made is 1 hour from the call time. (For example, if you call at 2 pm, the earliest reservation that the CM can make on that day will be at 3 pm.) Best wishes!

Have you booked anything? If not you may want to book some things just so you have something to fall back on. Then while you are there shoot for the ones that you really want. If that fails at least you have TS adrs waiting for you.
I most certainly wouldn't want to "wing" it with FD going on. It would so mess my plans up to be at one park and can't get anything and have to "hunt down" a place, God knows where.........yep I would get a few to have just in case. But that is just me. :)

I myself would try to book what you can, its FD time and I get the feeling you will have to be extremley flexible, eat early or late, Id see what you can get now or worst case senario call DD each morning and see whats available each day..Good luck! We will also be there in just a few days but I booked back in June.. Pretty soon you will be able to book 180 days out! I found it much easier to get what I wanted then..

We went the end of June. It wasn't Free Dining...but it was still busy!
We had ADR's made in advance but we switched some things around while we were there. We were able to walk up to:
50's Prime Time and The Plaza for lunch and San Angel for dinner.
Walking up certainly isn't something to count on, but it can happen! I also agree with the PP..check online now for potential opening to have something "in case". People cancel all the time. Good luck!:)

June 09...I tried so hard to get us into 50's PT for dinner and no luck....then one day while we were in Epcot I called the dining line and was able to get 50's PT for dinner the next night...things open up all the time
