Not only can you pack your specific gift and specify age and gender, you can send a personal note to the child.

We can’t change the world, but this is an awesome chance to change the world for a child this Christmas.

Without getting too political it is also in the business of being against gays. It is an evangelican organization run by the son of Billy Graham.

It makes Chik Fil A look like a kitten.

sounds like a cute idea but I work with a local charity and its all we can do to give christmas gifts to kids here on long island for christmas, nevermind other countries.

My step-MIL heads this up for their church every year. They fill a lot of shoe boxes. It's a great thing to get involved in.

Basically if you are "against Chik Fil A", you would want no part of this organization.

I am trying to put it as mild as I can within the DISboard guidelines.

Or you can look up Franklin Graham and see what he his "current" mission is.

In addition funds from Samaritian's Purse are going to support anti gay laws now. So just make sure you read up and Google stuff before you donate to anything these days.

There is nothing wrong with educating people. There are many who don't support certain organizations for personal reasons, letting them know what its about and letting them do some research about it doesn't hurt. It may be "just for helping kids" to you, but to others, it is more.

I do the same as a PP and support my local charities. There are plenty of children in my community that will not have Christmas presents without the generosity of others.

Since we have several great local organizations, I find this is a better use of my charitable dollars.

There are plenty of needy kids locally that I prefer to help.

There are many ways to support needy kids all over the world without supporting this type of organization. Sure you can pack up whatever but then some things get added (thus the lid being wrapped seperately). Not my cup of tea.

We always make up a couple of boxes each year, sometimes more. I didn't know you could track your box. Love that idea!!!

Great way to bring a bit of happiness into a childs life on Christmas. One who might have had no gifts can now receive something.

my kids pack boxes and turn them in through our church.

this year, one of the pictures in the brochure actually featured a box sent out by one of our church members. i thought that was neat.

we also donate toys through our local charities.

Wrong. It is not that simple. Just because you can't see the connection doesn't mean I will turn a blind eye. I will not support any so called charity drive that is run by an organization that is supporting and funding hate.
