Hi there Everyone! WARNING: Random Updates Ahead :WARNING
Ok you have been warned, now here are my random, crazy, all over the place updates!
I had a very busy weekend of getting ready for our trip (look I'm leaving in less then 20 days!) and a little wedding stuff too of course!
On Saturday we picked up our very 1st wedding gift! Friends of our family got us a vintage pinball machine, kind of random, but oh-so-fun!They are moving and were going to sell it to us, but then decided to just give it to us as a wedding present! I was super excited! It is late 70's early 80's style and it is a rollar derby theme (let me tell you how random that looks in my living room lol!) This summer Dave is going to work on fixing up our basement and making it a "man cave" as he calls it, so the pinball machine will eventually go down there. For the time being however, it is in my Living Room...
Remember my E-Pics outfit you all helped me pick out? Well, luckily this weekend was warm (even though we had more snow yesterday blehhh) so I decided to wear my new white skirt (the one for my e-pics) and a long sleeve top to lunch on Sunday. Well I got outside and Dave just started laughing at me... apparently the skirt is very sheer in the sunlight...VERY SHEER... so he saw the polka dots from my underwear through the skirt! Sooooo, since we were heading to the mall nearby for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory (Yum!) I decided to look for a darker skirt or dress to wear for my E-Pics just in case! (Yes, I did go inside and change to jeans first though
, didn't want to flash my undies to the world right!)
So we eat a lovely lunch outside and then go inside the mall for the shopping to begin! I was wandering aimlessly and saw American Eagle, now I very rarely go in here because while their clothes while very cute, they are not too friendly if you are bigger then an A cup! So I saw a dress in the window and decided to try it on, I mean hey I even had an audience of Dave at the time! Well, I ended up loving it and bought it to wear during my e-pics! It is navy blue and has a rope belt and neckline. It hits right above my knee so it is Def PG rated, and has a very cute T-Back.
Here it on the model

So after I found "the dress", I now needed to find "The shoes"... I loved the pair that I posted on here with the stripes so I thought hay maybe I will luck out! So we went to Target and found a pair of navy and green floral wedge sandels for only $19! (No pic online, so I will take one later and post it) and a green bracelet that kind of pulls it all together. So I completely changed my outfit for the E-Pics (but I think I had good reason, didn't want my grandmother to be able to see what color undies I had on in the pics!) Now I trink if I have a good slip (somewhere??) the skirt will still be cute to wear around, but I got way too paranoid to wear it for something important like E-Pics! Do you think the new outfit will look ok??
Now onto the trip! I have decided to surprise Dave with some baskets that will be in our room for us when we get back from DTD the 1st night (or maybe they will be delivered sooner while we are still at the POP, who knows) and she sent me some pics of the final product, I am very happy with how they turned out. I did a his/hers basket set with a bunch of fun stuff! I did them through Memories By Betsy off of Carrie (lurkyloos) recomendation. Couldn't be happier with the service and communication throughtout the whole process! Oh and the baskets will be left by "Mickey" to each of us, so it will look like a nice surprise

Each basket has:
Mickey Wine Glasses (which you can't really see it the pic, but they are there lol) and
Refillable Mugs
in the "His" basket there is also
A Hidden Mickey Book
An ESPN Zone trivia book (where we will watch the Superbowl the night before our wedding next year)
A Mickey Ginger Ale Soap (DF loves this soap, it is from Basin in DTD and smells amazing)
and A Pirate Mickey (I wanted to put a real "more manly" mickey in his basket too since the bride groom in the hers basket are attached and can't be split lol)
and in the "Hers" Basket
A Mickey/Minnie Bride Groom Plush
bath bombs from Basin (I heart these so much)
I liked this option better then spending a lot for Disney to do it, since I can take everything home with us. Also, you can customize the basket with absolutley anything from Disney you want, so I think it was a great, more personal way to go!![]()
First and foremost... I LOVE pinball machines! Vin and I are saving for one!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG so awesome!
Second, I justbought the same dress from AE!!! So awesome again, I love the top part of it isn't it great?
Love the baskets as well. Im starting to think maybe I shoul dhave went with those instead lolol.....
So exciting sam!!!!!!!!!!!! You're almost there!
Thanks Jen! I guess we have good taste with the dress then lol! It is super comfy too!
I think if you have any more surprises for Vin his head will explode lol! He is going to be so surprised on your disneymoon with something special each day! I just consolidated the surprises into 1 because A) I am not that clever and B) I would lose something in the process because I am super unorganized!![]()
There is a place in Western MA that does vintage pinball machines and I think that is where they originally bought it, they have so many diffetrnt types to choose from.
