Thanks, it really is a huge relief! I think with certain locations you can contract at 12 mos and ADH is one of them so we are all set, it is very relaxing to have the extra few months too, well I'm sure it wont be relaxing but oh well!!

Thanks Shannon! I am so happy right now! And I just found out that all the planning needs to start asap! I thought I would just send in a contract, but I need to do my room block before that, so I guess I will be mailing out newsletters in the next couple of days instead of weeks... oh well!

Thanks girls! I really am super happy right now! And I'm not sure how it happened but I got a sudden burst of wedding adrenalin and have organized a planning session for tomorrow night in my kitchen with both sets of parents (they all live within a mile of our house, so getting together is not too tricky) and we are going to finalize the guest list and try to make a room block! I am ready to get this thing in print lol!!

Thanks Joanna, thats weird about them telling you you couldnt start a room block. I have heard about some inconsistencies with DFTW though, so who knows!

Yeah, very weird. Only thing I can think of is he's holding off because I'm not 100% sold on the reception location? But I would think that the room-block would be the same regardless I think I'm going to call my WC tomorrow and ask if the pricing info is available...

I haven't been able to officially block rooms yet, but we'll most likely do

Yay!!! Congrats on the date!
I know the planning starts off with a little bang right after the contract, mine is in my inbox now just waiting for a get together with dad to get everything signed.
I think the room block can be done now, I already did mine, they just won't 100% guarantee the rates until the 3 or 6 month mark, I can't remember which one. But don't stress about it, my consultant told me it was flexible, just to get something to start off of and it can be adjusted as people respond. Which resort are you choosing??
