Samantha and Wes's Magical Disney Escape 08.09.10 - Last thoughts about our Trip!

Ask to speak with Israel @ v&as - he is awesome and he will do it for you. He has a really hard time saying no....The chefs table is AMAZING. You will LOVE it!

If he can't do it - he will come up with something unbeliveably special to make up for it I promise!

I will thanks so much for the tip! By the way I have not got around to posting on your TR but you wedding was GORGEOUS!

Yay for Coronado Springs! I have never stayed there but I think it looks awesome! That's great you got more discounts too! I need to go find new tickers too! :lmao:

daisygirl902 Congratz on the upgrade....the last few trips I made to POP, although I LOVE the place, I requested a king sized bed....was told "no problem" and then checked in to find that there were none available....for some reason as I get a bit older I start to appreciate a queen or king sized bed soooooo much more!

My DF is a bed hog ;) and we have enough trouble sleeping on a queen size bed at home to have to sleep in a double on our honeymoon would kinda suck, expecially in the summer when it's so warm, you need a little extra sleeping room :rotfl:

My mom feels bad that there will be so few guests at out wedding, especially since neither of my grandmothers can make it, so she has started inviting family friends to attend. I don't really mind but my DF is a little POed as one of his cousins wanted to come but I was afraid that if one cousin (of the 25 or so that he has, all first) the rest would be pissed that they weren't told they could come so I had told him it might be better if she did not attend. I want to tell my mom that it's fine if they come to Florida but I don't want to piss off his family by having them come to the ceremony, they already know they aren't invited to dinner (as the 10 of us already fill the chef's table at v&as) but she and my dad are out of town right now and I can't get ahold of them.

Are you sure the max for the chefs table is 10? I am trying to remember and count from when we made our resy. I really want to say we were told it would hold 12. I remember we were over by 1. I will try to confirm it tonight.

I remember reading somewhere that they like to keep the Chef's Table at 8 or under but that it can hold 10 and we will be 10 at dinner, besides I can't really afford another $200 a person to pay for their dinners!

So I have a phone call scheduled with Amy for tomorrow morning so we can talk about my flower costs (I hope!) I had my phone call with Rosie but she never gave me any prices and I really want to know where we are with costs :rolleyes1 I also want to make sure that our plan for our last day at Disney will work. Our flight home is at 1:45pm so I was thinking we check out, have the limo (from the wedding package) take us to Chef Mickey's (with our bags) have breakfast at 10am (which I have booked already) and then take the limo to the airport to go through customs and fly home :sad1:

It's so hard waiting to hear the costs, huh? I had my consultation with Rosie last week, and she said right now they are working to get the BEOs done for MAY weddings! I will have a heart attack if I have to wait till 2 or 3 months before to find out my total costs...not that I don't have a pretty good estimate in my head, but the real deal is often different than an estimate!

Good Luck!

Isn't it funny that months before a trip we can already be sad about leaving to come back home :rotfl:

So I talked to Amy this morning and we are good to go with the limo to Chef Mickey's and the airport

For flower prices... as I had asked Amy about them she did contact Rosie who didn't have the formal BEO but gave her price estimates so:

bridesmaid bouquet: $125
best man boutenier: $25
memorial chair arragement: $35 (I was floored it was so low, it's just a white large calla whith some banana leaves but... :yay:)

I am somewhat concerned about if we get moved inside because of rain we will have absolutely nothing to decorate the room... Here comes another look at the budget to see if we want to add anything

I am a VERY big fan of the Disney Mom's Panel and I have asked quite a few questions. Once I started trying to figure out where to have the rehearsal dinner and dinner after the ceremony I started asking Doug most of my questions as he is a really big foodie and has tried pretty much everywhere. My sister has also been asking him lots of questions and we both became friends with Doug on facebook.

I got a message from Doug today that said he had been talking to the lady who runs the Mom's Panel about us and they want to do a feature on my wedding for a promo for the Mom's Panel about their help.:happytv:

I could get a free taping of my wedding as we were not planning on having it recorded just the pictures.

Any thoughts? I think we're going to go for it!

Wow, that's so awesome! What would they do with your video? I'm really interested in more details, but that's really neat. You should totally do it (as long as its not intrusive). And plus you'd get a free video!

I am currently scowering (sp? you know what I mean) the web for MOB and MOG outfits. I know my mother will look lovely but I really want her in a dress rather than a suit. There is an AA MOB dress that I think she would look lovely in
MOBdress.jpg

(obviously not in black though) it's knee length and I really like it but it's so hard to shop when we live across the country from each other.

For the MOG dress I'm thinking something like this:

But we're not that close and I'm MUCH less familiar with her style. I think she'd look great in it though.

I'm still waiting to hear more about the mom's panel. I want to know NOW but as with everything else... we're waiting.

Isn't waiting the worst? I am waiting on my BEO right now too and it is killing me!

I love that MOB dress! It is nice and modern, yet still good for moms. Very nice.

Very cool about the mom's panel feature! Did they give you any indication about when you can hear more?

So I'm a little nervous about this but I am definately taking my dress as a carry-on as I am not using CA for steaming. I'm going with Lori Loftis of http://loftisproductions.com/ as they were cheaper than CAs and gave me a free tux steaming for booking through their website :goodvibes

This means I have to carry my dress with me and have them steam it in my room :scared: I hope that there is lots of room on the plane(s) for my dress!

I just decided to do this too - luckily I got a seat sale with WestJet today and they allow 2 checked bags plus 2 carry-ons! I didn't want to ship the dress because I've heard that sometimes you end up paying additional fees due to the border crossing....and no one could tell me how much those fees were. My dress is huge and pretty heavy - but the bridal store says they pack pretty small...she said most bridal gowns, even the really big ones, can be packed into a carry-on box which will fit in the upper compartment of the plane.

BTW - love the MOB dress!

So my mom is going to a store in Ottawa that sells AA dresses to look at the dress I sent her. And the funninest part is she is also going to look at the one I posted as a possibility for the MOG as well, I know my mom's taste too well :rotfl:

I JUST got my disney wedding website from Amy. She was confused as she said normally your sales consultant sends that to you, but Diane did not send it to me :confused3 oh well we have it now and my parents bought their tickets off of it already. They said it was the best discount they could find.

I am really bored sitting at work :surfweb: there is not much doing at my hotel tonight....

hey! Joining in! Your dress is so pretty! I love your ADR's we have been a lot of the same for ours and I'm so excited! The dresses for the mom's are really great! :thumbsup2 I hope your mom likes them. Can't wait to read more!
