Samantha and Wes's Magical Disney Escape 08.09.10 - Last thoughts about our Trip!

Animal Kingdom is such an amazing place to get portraits done. DH and I are in love with our pictures from there. I didn't give them any direction, since I thought all of the park was so pretty, and we have such a great variety of shots!
I really can't wait to see your pictures.

In other news Patricia Lejeune is not available to do my hair and makeup because of another early Disney wedding on the 11th, so I don't know what I am going to do. I can do my own makeup but my hair... I want it to look special not the down I always do on my own... I don't own anything other than a blow dryer I don't use to style my hair with so I'm a little nervous.

I may see if one of the other companies has availability that morning to do my hair and makeup.

Now to find out if another DisBride booked Patricia so that I couldn't...:rotfl:

Your date is coming up so soon!! I am sorry to hear that Patricia is booked up on your day :( How about Beaute Speciale? That is who I am using, and they have been great so far, plus I have heard a ton of great things about them on these boards. I hope you find someone that you are happy with real soon!

I just contacted Beaute Speciale through their website to see if they might have availability and what the cost would be... Do you have a price list for them?

I have the form somewhere, but I believe it is 65 for hair (50 if it is short) and 50 for makeup (75 for airbrush). I am pretty sure those are correct, but I am going from memory so it could be a little off! Either way, their prices are great and I have heard so many good things about them.

I have now contacted Beauty Special and they happen to have a Spring Special on their website so that you can get hair and makeup for $100 so I have asked them to send me the contract. We do have to pay a $50 early morning fee as the appointment starts before 6am, way before. But oh well, I'll have pictures from the wedding and trial with Patricia to show them how want my hair... and maybe I'll wear my other tiara.

Congrats! I was so tossed up between Ana and Patricia LeJeune that I don't think it really would have mattered to me...I love everything I have seen on here from both of them! I ultimately booked Patricia for me and my girls....I am still in shock that we are booked at 4 AM...Ugh.

And here's another "shout out" for Tiaras - I love em!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

It is official, there will be a promo/feature video thing about my wedding for the Disney World Mom's Panel :banana::woohoo:

I spoke (ok emailed) with Laura, the lady in charge of the mom's panel and we will be filming 3 bits. The first is a surprise, the second is me talking about the help I got from the panel and Doug in particular and the third well it's a bit of a surprise as well :rotfl:

I am so happy that it actually is coming to be... It was cool when I first heard about it but to be able to know it's happening :dance3:

Ok enough fun with the smilies it's back to work for me.

Oh, that sounds exciting! I don't really know what the moms panel is, but I know would be excited to have my wedding featured anywhere :goodvibes

That is great you found someone for hair/makeup. Everyone on here who has had Beaute Speciale has always looked amazing!

Congratulations on the Mom's Panel Feature!!! That's SO exciting!! I follow a few of the blogs from Mom's panel Mom's. I will definitely be on the lookout for your wedding. :goodvibes Congrats Again!!

For anyone who doesn't know what the mom's panel is it is an "official" panel of moms (and dads) who answer questions about Disney World for people who may not be as familiar with it. They do everything from recommending dining locations to resorts and what to bring with you to the park. It's a pretty cool way to get more information about what to do at disney.

www.disneyworldmoms.com :surfweb:

Check them out. You can also search the site to see if others have already asked your question.

You're welcome! I find them very helpful for restaurant opinions and other things, plus it's just fun to read other people's questions.

Congrats on the mom's panel feature!! You must be so excited!!

I am SOOO excited for the feature I can't wait to get down to Florida!!!

We have paid off the wedding package itself along with most of our hotel stay(s)! At 45 days out we will only need to pay for:

The extra flowers - ~$185
The cake upgrade - ~$50
The raspberry juice - ~? (to go in the champagne instead of orange juice)
The extra bottles of bubbly - ~$90

and the rest of Randy's package and hair and makeup of course.

I just figured out how to make the link to my pj prettier and how to make a table of contents thingy... and then I put WAY too many links in the first post!:rotfl:

Congrats for paying it all off!! That must be a huge weight off of your shoulders, and your final payment doesn't look like it will be much!
