Pepper all the way, I love freshly ground pepper. Don't use too much of the salt, but when I do I like it to be freshly ground as well.

I've seen this debated both ways, but I always put the salt in the one with more holes because people tend to use more of that.

I use it on pretty much everything and am quite liberal with the shaker. Salt, not so much, it depends on what I'm eating.
