Noticed on the ABD website today they have put a "sale" price on some of this summer's trips. Not taking the prices to entry level, but have lowered some of the prices on a lot of this summer's trips. I cannot recall this occurring before.

Wow, what appears to be lots of openings on their Danube cruise. We had to move our 8 reservations to another trip, but it had been wait listed. Lots of people must have pulled out prior to PIF. For that trip, the price is about what it was opening day. Maybe a bit less.

This is interesting, I may need to look into it further and see if there are any good deals for the summer.

Which Danube cruise did you have booked initially?

July 21, 4 class C cabins, upper deck. It was $10.5K per cabin, which was one adult, one child. That was booked opening day, a la Dreams Unlimited.

Bummed we can't go, but my work has unpredictable cash inflow and we have two kids hitting college next year. It's not the time to sink that much money into a vacation.

The Danube cruises were pretty much sold out right after they were announced. But I did notice a lot of availability pop up prior to PIF date. I think it's a combo of terrorism and second thoughts.

Terrorism for sure. We're going on the holiday cruise and I'm already getting questions about safety. With last year's New Year's eve attacks against women in Germany and the cruise ending in Germany on New Year's eve everyone thinks I'm crazy for not canceling.

If they don't fill the trips with these "deals" will they cancel them? Just curious cause my September Central Europe trip which has never been confirmed is "on sale".
