Brandi, this particular post really made me feel old. I remember the huge build up to the nation's bicentennial!

That was my HS graduating year! I found a bicentennial Eisenhower dollar in my son's car, and had to explain why it was a big deal!

That sounds fun and relaxing. I'm rethinking our choice to book our concert & swing bands to perform prior to the fireworks off the Queen Mary in Long Beach. All the news reports are talking about how packed the beaches are. I think I'd rather be kickin' it around the BBQ with an adult beverage.

Can I ask a bus question... I'd like to really rely on disney transport and we are staying at Jambo house for just a few days. I saw that it was the second pick up. If we are up and out early (beg. Oct) do you think we would have much problems getting on? I will just have DD (4) with me and it would be better if she had a seat (I can stand).
Any tips or thought from the experts?

There could be a time or 2 when the bus would either be very crowded, or so crowded that you'd have to wait for a 2nd bus (which they usually send quickly). But as a general rule, you should have no problems with the bus coming from Kidani.

Even on those rare occasions when I drive to WDW, I let Disney do the driving to the parks!

Not a silly question at all. The DVC studios actually have the large coffee pots: 10-12 cup. You can use the 4-cup filters in them but it might be worth it to get the larger size filters -- even if you only brew 4 cups at a time!

Sure does! I couldn't really tell from the picture how big the coffee maker was - I think a GG order may be in my future! And that will mean I don't need to buy more refillable mugs - we have enough already!

We were there in early September a few years ago, and had no problems with the buses. We didn't have to stand except at closing of MK after Wishes, and that's to be expected.

We had a great day, just pretty much hanging out - DS had a blast shooting his fireworks - it was fun!! Also, on another note, I hope Kim's computer konked out or something, it's so UNLIKE her not to be around here............ I'm kicking myself for not writing down her email............. anyway, I hope she can feel all of our "vibes" LOL and checks in soon!!

Now to rethink surpising DH. I was hoping to do CL but no rooms available with military discount, bummer. But that is okay.
