Since 08 I have at least stayed at AKV for one night during F & W! Best was at Kidani when we had the whole fire pit to ourselves with our wine and the wild animals!!

well, I only say sometimes because I cannot keep up with you I do like my idea of a Goodbye to 2011 trip! I know its only July, but I am ready!
Sometime in December......19 mths will go by fast til NOLA

Hi Sharyn! I just got back from a girls trip ..DD4 became DD5 You will have a magical time!!!! AKL in itself is magical...everything you need to know will be found on this thread, lots of experts!!

Being the cook, dishwasher, cat feeder, bill payer, I am "someone". However, I take the trade off that I don't need a day job, most days I can sleep in as late as I want, and if I say "I want to eat at the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose." She tells me to make a reservation.

However, I'll save the Zebra Domes as a treat for when I'm at the Lodge.



Totally! And this is coming from someone who just cooked 20 lbs of chicken, 7 lbs of potato salad, 3 lbs of tortellini salad and the Chinese Chicken salad will be assembled tomorrow before lunch. Thank god for Costco and their Pineapple Upside Down Cakes and cookies. I hope everyone likes lunch because the guy who has done the last couple years of lunches raised the bar by preparing "over the top" food. Anyways, too bad I didn't have energy left to make some ZDs

So now my solo trip has turned into taking my mother to the AKV. This will be my first time going home as we just got DVC. I had to change my dates from Nov to Sept due to her availabilty. So now I had to change from a savanna view to a standard view. I am really bummed. Is it possible to look at a pool or is it parking lot? Are the views that bad????

We're not going to AKV this year, but I have rented points already for April 8-14, 2012. We will be staying in Jambo House Value Studio. It will be our first time staying at AKL/AKV. We have visited once; but never stayed.

Looking forward to all I can learn from this thread. With us going over Spring Break, I am assuming we will spend more time at the resort than the parks.
