Sailing on the Dream!! Would LOVE some tips from 4 Night Cruisers!

Hello! Thank you SO much in advance for any help you can share! I'd like to make a few requests for our upcoming 4 night cruise on the Dream sailing early September. Please let me know if you have any recommendations!

1. Anyone love their serving team? We have 2 kids ages 9 and 7.

2. What dining rotation should I request? I'd like to book Palo on the night we're in one of the dining rooms twice but I don't want to miss Pirate night in the main dining room. I'd also like to request a rotation that will put us in Royal Palace on formal night. Any idea which night that is?

3. Shore excursions in Nassau? We may just stay on the ship but have you tried anything that you really enjoyed?

4. Does anyone have a recent 4 night navigator they'd be willing to share?

That's all I can think of for now. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

1. We've never requested a specific server. And we've had no issues with any serving team assigned to us.
2. AFAIK, the rotations are 1223. On some cruises the rotation is 1233. Night 3 is Pirate night. The order of the dining rooms is Royal Palace, followed by Animator's, followed by Enchanted Garden. So the rotations would be RAAE; AEER; ERRA (or RAEE; AERR; ERAA).
3. We did the Junkanoo Tour, but with young kids - I'm not sure they'd like it.

Agree with above, but remember that the menu on Pirate Night is different than the standard menu. So while you might do Palo on the second night in a space, you'll also miss the unique menu. If that ended up being Animator's night, you'd miss the Crush show.

When you put in your request, is just ask for whatever rotation puts you in Royal Palace on dress up night.

- We did not get off the boat at the Bahamas, the kids were having too much fun in the Kid's Clubs (at the time mine were 11, 13 & 18). My 18 yr old and I got off the boat just so he could say he was in the Bahamas but we never left the dock.
- We did the late seating for our meals. One of the reasons was so we didn't have to rush back from Castaway Cay to make our seating time. The other reason was whatever seating time you have for dinner, on the morning you return, your breakfast will either be VERY early or at a normal time (8:00 am I think). Our plane wasn't until early afternoon so we were in no rush to get off the ship.
- On Castaway Cay we did the parasailing excursion. My kids loved it. Since your's are younger, two of you would go tandem.

Technically all of your kids, and you, went to the Bahamas if you disembarked in CC- its a bahamian island.

Is there a specific attire for pirate night?

Many people and most kids dress up. You'll see everything from a simple pirate t shirt to fill blown costumes on both adults and kids. For us, DD wears a full costume and we wear simple white t shirts with red sashes. Disney provides bandanas but they are very small.

My daughter attends East Carolina Univ. Their mascot is a pirate, so we all wear our game day gear. Arrg!!

When we did our 4 night on the Dream our kids were 6 and 8. We did the Dolphin Excursion at Atlantis. They loved it!

Just got off 4 night dream. Our dinner rotation was AERR. Second seating. Dining crew was fine.

Our son is 9 and we did Blue Lagoon Dolphin Experience (not the swim). If you book directly with them (versus port excursion with disney), you can save some $$$ (direct was $115 versus disney being $145). Unfortunately for us, disney bought up all slots - so we had to go with them. It was really cool.

We had the serving team of Loretta from Jamaica and Kostas from Greece in the summer and again last month. They were wonderful...probably the best team we have had!
