We booked the Fantasy for the first eastern. I booked a dummy date on our cruise in March in anticipation of the Fantasy, the discount and $350 OBC are nice.

You want book a date far in the future to give you the most flexibility. You can change/cancel it at any time until final pay date. You go to the booking desk and tell them you want to book a dummy date, they will pick a cruise for you. There are also cards you can fill out leave, the booking desk can sometimes be very busy, I'd recommend going early in the cruise if you want to speak with them.

The amount of the OBC depends on length of cruise and Castaway Club level, when I booked we were gold, on our 10th cruise, and got a $275 OBC, when we rebooked the cruise we were platinum and got the $350. You also get a 10% discount on the cost of the cruise(no discount on taxes, transfers or insurance).

If you know the date it is best because you lock it in at the lowest price when you book, if the price goes down you can get it adjusted, if you need to change you can.

I like the EC for the extra sea day, that was what we booked on the Fantasy. Disney took away Key West and added Costa Maya on the Fantasy WC, which significantly lowered the appeal for me.

That would lower the appeal for me as well. We are hoping to head to Key West one day! Would have been great to do on a Disney Cruise!

We are gold also, so I know that if we are able to rebook our Eastern on the Fantasy while we are on the Dream, we should get that. I can't remember, though, if I use my Disney Visa, I'll still get the $50 as well, right? I really love the OBC! We get $150 for our upcoming Dream cruise!

You would be considered a Silver Castaway Club Member until you've completed your fifth cruise. With that, you'd get a $100 OBC for a 3-6 night cruise and a $200 OBC for a 7 night or longer cruise. You'd also get the 10% discount if you rebooked onboard. Hope this helps.

Disney was great, not as great as a cruise, but still awesome. I went to MNSSHP and agree hollow wishes is good

Glad to hear you like the cruise better than Disney. Im having a hard time getting supper excited about the cruise. I almost wish we were going to Disney instead. But Im sure it will be fun!

haha, totally different for me. I don't get as excited going to Disney World like I do going on DCL. I get excited maybe a day or two before Disney World as when I go on a Cruise I'm excited like 5 months out

We are still going too. Not sure if we will fly or drive. DH is in the NG...and they keep changing drill schedules. The only airline I would consider is SW, and haven't seen any good deals yet. I have slipped a few times and said something about the cruise (since it is supposed to be a Christmas present) but have been able to make a good recovery. I don't think the boys know we are going. They keep talking about wanting to stay at Bay Lake Tower too, little do they know...that is where we are staying ahead of time!

Hoping we will be able to book an EC on the Fantasy as well...for 2013, hard to imagine that far out, but I need that much advance to be able to pay for it!

Holly cow 15 weeks! Its getting so close! I dont even know what to expect!

We will fly in the morning before the cruise. we are staying at Ron Jons Resort will we have time to go to the surf shop and spend some time on the beach and the resort pool?
